Bama offers kids all the time. Doesn't mean they are commitable offers though. You never know.

Mack Brown pulls the "if you commit you have an offer" routine. Quite common.

Got to be the best of the best.

Wtf is a commitable offer? Either you have an offer or you don't. If you can't say yes to a scholarship offer you don't have one.

It would be hard for me to be more impressed with Daub than I am currently. Terrific prospect. Can turn and run/close with the best of them.

Got ya. Did Bo tear his ACL? Thought I read that...

Bo was running routes and doing all drills at Atlanta Nike NFTC three weeks ago. I think he's more of a RB/ATH prospect with a future destination on defense - just one opinion. Hard not to see a 6-2.5, 240-pound OLB with ++ ball skills and playmaking ability for me.

Where would you rank Landon Collins little brother at this time?

Willis will show up in the next round of rankings pretty quick. Expect him to be in that 26-60 range.

IMO, a tremendous year in Louisiana in 2014. Top tier, that is.

Where would you say Yearby would be ranked? I've heard claims that he is as good as Sony... Also how would you rate Jacob McCrary read he was the best WR in SFL for 2014.

I think Sony is a bigger, stronger back with ++ feet, burst and big play ability. Yearby has those make you miss electric feet and lateral juice in the hole and in traffic. Among the best in space - without a doubt.

Interesting thing at loaded Miami Central, fellow 2014 RB Dalvin Cook has a chance long term - to be as good or better than anyone. His body has the upside (once he adds more muscle mass to the lower body), he is an impressive one cut and burst vertical runner - but also has some make you miss subtleness about him in space, and in the hole.

McCrary has been solid in every setting we've seen him in. Some guys are easily defined as football players, period. That is McCrary for me.

How is Hoza Scott not in the top 25? Kid basically has offers from Bama, LSU, and Texas.

Oh yea, he's an A&M lean. Solomon Thomas (top 25) is a longhorn lean.

Scott will pop up very quick in the next release. Very talented prospect - DE long term home IMO.

Has nothing to do with who likes who. Could care less. If you are player, you are a player and that will be proven out wherever guys go to college.

Scott is one of the best big play players on defense in the 2014 class, regardless of position. Terrific prospect.

Just know - it's a terrific class in Louisiana in 2014 from a top tier standpoint - in our opinion.

    Love that word play.

Son, we want you, but we need to know where you stand. We want to extend a non-commitable offer to you, but upon your acceptance of our non-commitable offer, we could raise that to a tentatively commitable offer, in the hopes that ultimately we can extend a commitable offer to you. You understand what I'm telling you? We are the only school that is seriously considering giving you 3 offers.

  • JC nice stab at class of 2014 However some blatant omissions from list include but not limited too Demarre Kitt,Todd Kelly JR, Brandon Dawkins and Jeb Blazevich. Not quite sure I have Bo Scarborough ahead of Michel and Starks either. And if Dawkins isn't number one QB in class with Deshaun Watson a close second.

    Richards

  • Sony Michel best running back in class hands down, then Nathan Starks and Akeem Henderson

I simply disagree. He has too good of coverage skills not to play LB. He had three picks in a 7on7 game this past weekend. His is a force everywhere on the field playing defense.

It's a Top 25 in the country list- the best of the best.

Most of these guys you are mentioning are top 100 type prospects for sure, but I think blatant omission is a little strong.

I am high on Dawkins. Does he have the plus arm and long-term upside that Tyler Harris does? Maybe. Kitt is maybe a top 10 receiver nationally. We've seen him in person, we've seen him on film- definitely above average but not elite to any of our evaluators, including Rusty Mansell who covers the state of Georgia. He's got two more years of high school football and being a great player at that level, he would be an All-American in that category, but prospect ranking-wise, we like others better.

We saw Gillins and Watson both back-to-back days. Love Watson, but wasn't at the level of Gillins and those two are similar.

In the state of Tennessee, we like Josh Malone better as an overall prospect and the kid from Brentwood Academy as well, but Todd Kelly is a top 100 guy.

Scarbrough is 6-2, 218 and runs 4.5 and if running back doesn't work out, he has high upside as a linebacker in college. On film, he's more rare than Michel and better than Starks. Doesn't mean we don't love those two players, either, Scarbrough is just better.

Thanks for the opinions. Kitt is one of the better possession receiver prospects in the class. We like Kitt, just a little difference of opinion.

We didn't sign him because we were on probation and sucked. Mike Price got him on a late OV but it was too late. He was not impressed on his official visit and let everyone know about it. He was a Florida fan already and also had Chris Leak in his ear for a long time. He, Leak, and Andre Caldwell all went to UF together. All three were 5 stars with Jackson and Caldwell being WR's.

He had the best hands I have ever seen. I'm not talking about just going up and getting the ball either. Dude would catch passes that were not meant for him going 1,000 miles an hour over the middle. He'd snag it out of the air and turn up field. Meanwhile the TE 20 yards from him would stand shocked by the ridiculous catch and not even care that Chad just stole his thunder.

At the NFL combine he ran a 4.32 and had a 38 inch vertical. But he was running hand timed 4.2's back to back in high school. He's the best WR I have ever seen in person. He had no weaknesses in his game at all.

Also, Jackson was running left and right with terrible form when he ran that impressive combine forty.
