Has anybody ever fallen further than Joe Paterno

This guy was beloved by everybody a few months ago and now he is basically despised by everybody but Penn State fans. Can you think of another figure who fell that far? It can be a sports figure, a political figure, or someone else

Many PSU alum and fans despise him as well. There's no denying he covered all this up now. Many of them seem ashamed and disgusted.
And no I can't immediately think of anyone falling from a higher pedestal.

Don't lump the entire PSU community into "siding with Joe". I for one, want the statue removed and his name off the library he paid for. I don't want anything to do with the guy. He's a fraud and lied to everybody.

Agreed and while that made PSU as a University look even worse at the time, I really don't think the riots would've occurred now, knowing what we know today.
