USC's 7-6 season was bad enough, I can't imagine what a collapse like 3-8 must have been like for Alabama. That's horrible.
Any other school roll over like the Tide's embarrassing 3-8 season or is Alabama's 2000 season the worst on record all-time for a team that started ranked top 3?

The only team that has been over-ranked more than USC is Oklahoma (by only a half point). Notre Dame made up 20 points this year but is still one of the most over-ranked teams. FWIW Alabama has been consistently under-ranked, and has a cumulative poll movement of +30.5 points.

I'd give Alabama a little more credit than being at the same level as teams like Kansas and Washington St, but who am I to argue if that's what those rankings you like so much say. Man, looks like total mediocrity and suckville if you are a team that has been consistently under-ranked and are on that list like Alabama is. Excellent research.

Or it's just we've always had a biased media who hates us. Ala 1966 championship taken away from us after being undefeated the previous season and National Champs. And we've only had 1 Heisman winner. The media has notoriously hated us until recently and I love that.
