    I was right. 2000 Alabama (3-8) officially had the worst season in CF history for a team that was ranked top 3 to start the season.

    The only dumbass is the one starting a thread flaming the first program to establish a dynasty since the 90's. Would rather be the worst #3 team in history, than the worst #1 team in history. Speaking of the past 25 years, how many Natty's does SC have during this time-frame? Bama has four.

  • My question about this whole thread: Who the hell cares? It was 13 years ago.... Since USC had such a sucky season, OP did a little research to make himself feel better, and he found out that the team that is currently dominating the college football world had a terrible collapse- 13 years ago. Since Bama is on top of the football world right now, the OP hates Bama (jealousy), so he posts this stupid topic to try to make himself feel better.

    32 10-win seasons
    18 seasons with a 10-win start
    34 bowl wins

    No one else can claim the above. No one. Who cares about the one stumble you are referencing?

    So far from the worst. Bama on the other hand.

    Plus, SC has won 2 mythicals since 89,
    or we could call it 4 if we did a Bama count.

    Do you guys think Bear Bryant would have been fired if that happened in this day and age? I would imagine Saban would be fired if went winless in 8 straight BCS bowl games, which is pretty much what Bear Bryant did.

    That winless streak Bama had may never be broken.
