Calvin and Hobbes? Seriously, Bill Watterson is a genius. I'd put Foxtrot and Peanuts in that same category, but I definitely like Calvin and Hobbes the best. I've never actually been able to laugh at a comic strip like that besides the Far Side.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting

I used to work in a OSU's Cartoon Library and Museum -- a completely mundane job made bearable by the awesome content, we had a lot of C&H stuff and also did a feature on the strike shortly before I started working there. C&H is awesome, but Watterson is kind of crazy about how his comic is used.
Time and change will surely (truly) show How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!

Because they aren't funny. Neither is Garfield, the depressed Jon talks to himself comics are hilarious though. Calvin and Hobbes is in another level, Garfield is what's wrong with comics
