Has your school ever had a player decommit?

    Why would we want to think that happened? Maybe that's just what your homers say?

    Some Bucknuts want to believe that Michigan fans are all in denial, so they create a reality for themselves in which every time a player decommits from Michigan, every Michigan fan says they were dropped.

    Clearly, this is stupid - it's like Michigan fans saying this: "every time someone decommits from OSU, all OSU fans just say that it's because they had a non-committable offer."

    Gareon Conley straight-up decommitted, and so did Caleb Stacey. It's not hard for me to point to the difference between actual decommits and players the staff dropped.

    Just b/c you dress neatly, speak without swearing, don't yell and scream and berate your players on the sideline, and have a genuinely pleasent demeanor doesn't mean your holding yourself out to be a beacon of morality or better than anyone else. If the media takes all that and gives him stupid nicknames like "the Senator" and talks about how squeaky clean he is, that's not his doing. He didn't hire a PR firm to create that image. That's your perception of him based on what you saw on t.v. and colored by the fact that he used to spank that ass every year in November. Be real, son. You hate him b/c he used to go ass to mouth on your team. Every. Single. Year.

    I've read the book. Point me to the chapter where he states he never fails to live up to the principles in there.

  • its a pretty good book if you ever take the time to read it..

    mostly about how to deal with adversity that life will always bring..

    getting carried out after the during 26-21... seems like he is dealing quite nicely..

    That's the truth. Ward was recruiting for UM then he started talking about Florida, but still maintained he was committed to UM. Then the transfer happened and it didn't sit well with the coaches. Its early in the cycle, and we're in on plenty of OL. No need to deal with it

    also wanted to mention that when Gareon Conley was still fully committed to UofM and was on his way to visit Cincy, Mattison informed him that if he went through with the visit, he would be no longer considered a commit. Conley turned around. This is Example A of Mattison & Hcryke's policy.

    Call it what you want, but basically threatening a kid with his future will have consequences. And in Gareon's eyes, he never saw michigan the same way.
