Good cast with people that have done well in Westerns before. Not to mention that it's one hell of a storyline. I think it will be good at worst if not Awesome.

The cast and that theme music that accompanies the promos had piqued my interest. I'll tune in.

Funny. I'm a real Hatfield, William Anderson Hatfield A.K.A Devil Anse Hatfield was my great, great uncle, the man who raised me (Grandfather) was Alvis Hatfield.
I will be watching, and yes they can screw it up they have been known to change some truths just to add drama for TV

Devil Anse is probably one of the least understood figures in American Folk History

They better get in at least 2 aliens and 3 references to doomsday prophecies or it's not a real History Channel production.

I really enjoyed the first episode. I thought the director did a great job of establishing a deep plot while building up the root causes for the feud. The show definitely met my expectations.
Anyone else enjoy it?

Agree. I enjoyed it and was really hooked by the end. It was really taking off by the end, and I'm dying to see part 2.

There timeline is wrong.
The hog in question didnt have a notched ear.
Johnse was arrested by the McCoy's on bootlegging charges, not kidnapped like they showed.
Asa Harmon McCoy was killed by The Logan Wildcats, in a cave, not Uncle Jim Vance
William Anderson Hatfield wasnt a deserter
My family knew they would change some things for televison
