Exactly, most of the accounts have been passed down over time, and without a doubt have changed. So going on the fact that no one really knows what went down during that time period. I love it so far. Costner and Paxton were great casting decisions. I think the history channel tried to incorporate all the different myths as to what started the fued, the pig, the civil war, etc. My only complaint is that you don't really notice the fact that the two episodes have already spanned almost 10 - 15 years of time, and i think they could have developed the time line a little better, at the begining to two kids that found Asa McCoy dead are now almost 20 at the end of the second episode.

Great news for history fans - even if it I slightly bent. The first night was the highest non sports program in cable history. Over 12m on the first run and almost 17m overall on monday all but guarantees we will see more shows like this.

That's was someone said previously. He and the wildcats were voluntarily fighting, so he quit fighting but wasn't enlisted and therefore was not a deserter.
