Head Coach Carousel Prediction....

  • Just for fun.....

    Cal ---- Petrino, prestige of Cal is good fit for what Petrino has dropped to. Great pairing and another PAC12 team will be freakin sick on offense going forward.

    Auburn -- James Franklin, I honestly think this would be a great hire and pairing as well. Can't "compete" with Nick but would build a talented, well coached team that would poach a win against them or LSU many years.

    Arkansas -- Gary Patterson, the Arky boosters are admant they dont miss out this offseason and Patterson is their man at probably 4.5 a year. They could get him at 4.0 IMO but they are hunting squirrel with a shotgun right now to make sure they kill it.

    Tennessee -- Butch Jones. So much legit sounding smoke from Gruden but I just cant believe it. Jones is legit though. UT can't hire Golden because from a resume standpoint he's too similar to Dooley coming in. Disappointing hire to most Vols on message boards but he'll get them back to 9-4 seasons pretty soon and when a special QB rolls through any team can spike 2 wins.

    NCSt --- Sonny Dykes (La Tech), followed Dooley and actually united the locker room and caught some fire this year. I'm proud of NCSt saying no to an aging coach promising mostly 6-6 or 7-5 seasons. Hopefully Dykes brings a good brand and product to the ACC.

    Boston College -- Greg Roman, OC for 49ers. I hope; makes sense. Would be two huge hires for the ACC

    Gundy, Golden, Fisher, Mack, etc all stay put. Maybe next year lol

  • I also think that with all the underclassmen talent and new money coming in from going BE to ACC that the Cardinals will be able to resign Strong for an extra mil a year and stay steady there. By proxy another huge hire for the ACC. I am mildly encouraged.

  • If Patterson leaves TCU it will be for Texas. Either this year or next he wont leave for if he knows the Texas job is about to open up this year or the next, knowing he would be the first choice

    I think Strong, unless Auburn backs up the dump truck full of money for him, stays at UofL for right now.

    Its not always a flame. I am referring to the overall losing records as a HC. Btw James Franklin has done more than Golden and has more clout. You're in a bubble. Frankling turned the worst program in the SEC on its head. Golden is .500 at Miami.

  • Rumors are that Purdue is looking at Butch Jones. That would be a great hire for them. He knows the region and is a solid coach with typically good offenses.
