  • Barton,

Do you think that USC's tactic of bringing in Sills in 2015 is a good one? It seems like there are starting to be questions about whether or not he has the same ceiling as a lot of other California QBs in 2015.

    Obviously.....

considering that out of the 10 QB's from Florida St that have played in the NFL,
only 1 has a winning record.

I mean with all that success, why would you? roflmao

I said nothing about Florida State, not one thing... and certainly didn't mention their QB's

I simply made a statement about the stone cold fact of california QB's being vastly over-rated in high school

Max Wittek ? lolz, can't even beat a very average GT team

So tried of 5 star California QB's.

This is also a weak troll, the fact that FSU has sent 10 QB's to the NFL is impressive

Most players don't last in the NFL and I couldn't care less what FSU's QB's do in the NFL unless they play for the Skins

If EJ goes anywhere but Washington I hope he loses every game

I cried tears of laughter when Fletcher sent Ponder to the hospital

It's probably because California QB's have won the most Super Bowls.

    Tends to cause high ratings.

  • Because Tom Brady, Colin Kaepernick and Aaron Rodgers out of CA suck so much.

Sorry I didn't see these comments earlier. Not sure how I missed it.

I'm never a fan of bringing a quarterback in that young as a commitment. Too many variables and moving parts at that position. Two more years before he signs, i think there's going to be a lot of temptation for that USC staff with the other options out west at the position.

Mark Sanchez was the last first round draft pick from California in 2009. Jake Locker was a west coast QB to get drafted after that out of Washington. Other than that, the well has been a little bit dry lately but 2015 should get the ball rolling again in a big way.

Those weren't highly rated kids in high school were they smart ass ?

Im talking about 5 stars or highly rated pop tarts like Wittek, Barkley, Sanchez, Leinart, and on the dubious list goes with assholes who ranked 5 stars yet 4 years later america realized they were just chicks disguised as football players

Yeah those guys sure sucked in college.

They did, it was just disguised by incredible talent around them in some cases

I was never impressed with any of the kids I listed in college, you were sure... but that is why Im laughing at your stance ITT

In my experience, the highly rated cali QB's almost always suck something fierce and its very rare when I like any of them year after year

    Thanks Barton.

Based on your comment re: "a lot of temptation", do you feel that there are QBs out west that are either better or have a higher ceiling than Sills?

I'm just trying to get a national perspective.

Sills seems to have continued developing pretty nicely, and evens looks like he'll have some good mobility, but there are a few west coast QBs that look like they could be 5-star guys.

Based on your argument above re: FSU qbs in the NFL, not sure you can really knock Sanchez or Leinart as busts. Both were first round draft picks.

I want to reserve judgement until I've had a chance to see Sills in a recent setting but I do think that there may potentially be some better options in 2015.

Believe me, there has only been one FSU QB I have " repped " in my 25 years or so of being an FSU fan

I still think my hatred for california's highly rated QB's is just

As for first round picks Im not even paying attention to that, NFL teams are epically retarded sometimes

I still laugh at the thought of Leinart, Ponder, Sanchez and many other first round QB's

Ill be straight tickled pink with lulz if EJ goes first round, even second.... shit, early 4th would be too early
