Heisman List As of Tonight

  • BamaLivesFootba said...

    Player A: 65.3% CR, 2542 yds, 30 TD, 6 INT, 161.9 QBR*

    Player B: 68.34% CR, 2875 yds, 30 TD, 0 INT, 180.3 QBR*

*Player A's stats are for 12 games, B for 13 and projected out.

Do you know who they are?

Did you put rushing yards and rushing a tds I them?

So to you what should the heismans s credentials be?

Doesn't matter really since the Heisman trust uses the most vague criteria ever.

I use an eye test. Winning is big. Importance to your team is big. Consistency and efficiency are big. Stats are last.

TDs are the same, Player A has 200 more rushing yards.

  • I have zero clue what QBs you are talking in account then because according to ESPN no QB has a rating of 161.9

That's because Player A is Troy Smith.

Didn't realize he was playing today..... Rank Mccarron against his competition.

I'm just saying. That stats are pretty comparable. To say that he isn't even deserving of Top 5 seems weird. Because he isn't a system QB putting up video game numbers?

He went 14-27 today against his really only real test so far this year. Those aren't Heisman numbers. Barner put up dumb stats vs one of their big teams they face. Klein has done it multiple time against big time teams.

And who did I have 1 and 2?

Honestly I don't remember. I'm a little drunk and I just took a sleeping pill so I'm about to crash. IMO Geno Barner and Klein at least should be above McCarron.

Geno? You want to talk about not coming up in big games? He's a loser. AJ had 2 TDs and zero picks, game winning drive against a Top 5 defense. Sorry he didn't ball out.

    He's a solid third right now,maybe fourth,and at least top 5.

Teo should be above him. He has put up average numbers. Geno has put up stupid numbers. I think AJ is very good just not Heisman worthy.

    3. McCarron ..... *sigh* ... no bamer, he doesn't deserve the heisman

This. He looked scared and petrified for most of the game. Then he played against a prevent defense that played 7 yards off the receivers. Hard to mess that one up. Like someone else previously mentioned, his "Heisman Moment" was a screen pass to a 5 star running back who made a bunch of people miss. I wouldn't even have McCarron in the top 5 (or on my list period). He is not an exciting player, much less the best player in college football.

    1. Klein
    2a. Barner
    2b. Miller
    3. Teo
    4. Everyone else.

  • Klein
    Miller
    Barner

Seem to be the clear top 3 with guys like McCarron, Teo, and Bridgewater having a chance to make a case late. Don't get the Manziel hype at all, he has 2 Ls already and had 1 td to 5 ints in those games.

Yes you did. Te'o is on the list.

McCarron doesn't have the passing stats to be on the list.

I think the Purdue game pretty much removed Braxton Miller from any Heisman chance, unless everyone else really screws up.

9-20, 113 Yds, 1 TD, and 47 rushing yards on 12 carries doesn't exactly scream Heisman.

How about the fact that he's barely completing 56-57% of his passes? He's a great athlete, just like a dozen other spread QBs every year, but he's a mediocre passer. Give me Mariota or Manziel or Klein or anyone else who can complete his passes on a consistent basis. Miller is an athlete not a QB.

    But you forgot mccarrons turnovers

5 yard Rb dumps that go for 40 yards does not make a Heisman

    McCarron doesn't have any turnovers.

When Alabma was trailing last night he was 10-16, 121 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT.

So the most outstanding player in college football is a guy who has disappeared since September? Gotcha.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you and the other Michigan posters are saying about Miller, but I still think he can make it very interesting down the stretch with how he preforms against Wisconsin and Michigan.
