They basically nearly never end.
The only thread that ever got closed due to length was the original LNC, and it was over 130,000 posts long.
Threads also don't just "disappear" after a few days, you can look back at any thread that was not deleted no matter when it was created. Helps hold trolls accountable for stupid predictions and such.

Clint Brewster is the son of the Minnesota HC, and he does an amazing job considering this is his first gig.

Yup, or the mods. I was having a problem with porn sites coming up on the mobile site right after I'd post, like an instant pop up deal. One of our mods told Pat Tholey, and he pm'd me the same day to find out what was wrong. I believe the issue has been fixed since, but the customer service is excellent.
