Have y'all heard anything on OU looking into seeing if your DL coach is available? He's being mentioned as a candidate to take the same position here. Would Michigan even miss him if he left?

Haven't heard a thing on our end. I doubt he leaves in my opinion. We will most likely match any offers that are given. There's a chance for promotion here when Mattison retires. I doubt he leaves unless it's for a promotion. Just a lateral move.

Cool thanks. Someone posted over on our board he was tired of Hoke and the DC looking over his shoulder since they used to be DL coaches also. All well I guess we'll go in another direction.

There is also a good likelihood Hoke takes that NFL spot next off season. Wiuld be a good move IMO.

I'd be very surprised if Montgomery left. It'll be between him and Curt Mallory for the DC job when Mattison retires, so I could see him leaving if he doesn't get that promotion, but for now, Michigan will match offers for him.

He's a key recruiter, so hopefully he doesn't leave. He seems to really love Michigan and I doubt he leaves.

He'd be a great hire if he truly wants to leave. He's been the main recruiter for all of our commits so far in 2014 and he's a great coach.

I really hope you guys don't take him from us.
I could see the logic though, hard to get out from Mattison and Hoke's shadow. But learning from them for a couple of years might be best for his coaching career.
He is probably my favorite position coach on the team.
