Hey guys, can we help out this little girl?

  • The old timers from Rivals will remember when we raised over $20k for an autistic child in Arkansas back in probably 2009. We bought him a service dog specially trained to work with autistic kids. We ended up creating a flag football league for special needs kids in Little Rock so he could play ball with his friends, too. Anyways, we've picked up a new project on another board. We're raising money for a little girl in TN to go to Disney World. We're close to $1k now and need to get to about $5k for the mom and dad to take her for a week. Any help would be appreciated.

    Paypal any donation to: tmbforkylie@gmail.com

I can assure you that all funds will go to the family. Any of the old timers here will vouch that while I can be an annoying dick, this is legit.

Here is what started it. The dealership may or may not help out, but we're taking it upon ourselves to make sure she gets to make the trip.

A little girl in Maryville, TN is about to lose her life to cancer. She is 4 years old and been battling for about 2 years now. Her name is Kylie Grace and the Dr. hasn't given her much longer. They can't give her the amount of medicine she needs because it will make her deathly ill. So it's a lose-lose situation. Her last wish is to go to Disneyland and Hepperly's Auto Sales in Maryville is donating .10 for every "Like" they get on FB the month of March to her trip.

There are more ways to raise money, but the other ways are centered around town and are like softball games and stuff like that. I'm not asking for any type of donation here, just a simple "Like" on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Heppe...s/Hepperly-Auto-Sales/161586617206463?sk=wall

Here's a link to what we did back on Rivals:

Preciate it, man. Somebody just dropped $500. No clue if they are from here, Rivals, or TMB. Don't care, honestly. His karma bucket is now full for life.

Damn that is great. I won't be making any kind of contribution like that but I am sure I can give something.

Yea, me either. A lot of small donations add up to a big donation, though.

Yep, even if everyone just gives $10-20 that adds up to a lot.

Well hello there, Gonig. You think about me naked?

  • Here's a video of the little girl. Just damn.

    Kylie Grace { I Won't Give Up }

Kylie recently had scans that came back with bad news. Her tumors have grown even while she's been on strong chemo. Her parents are now faced with the choice of putting her through radiation to buy time or not. Kids usually get 36 grey doses of radiation but Kylie would need 60 grey doses to even touch her cancer and would be very ill while in treatment. She could also have a few more rounds of chemo but if anything, would only buy her time. Love Kylie to death. She's my hero. The strength that her and her mom have amazes me. Pray for Kylie. Pray for a miracle.

Well, no. It's something that will possibly get me tarred and feathered. But I'll go ahead and post it anyway. Bear with me. A quick Google search of this little adorable little girl shows she has a ton support surrounding her; a charity motorcycle ride, donations at various retailers in town, yard sales, bake sales, etc. Lots of people are thinking of and caring for this little girl - as they should, as any town supporting a child should.

But I work in health care, and see lots of children who have no support financially. And I also work directly with children's wish organizations that help grant last wishes to these children who might not have a chance to enjoy a last trip. It's donations from people that help make these wishes come true - and believe me, there is not enough money to go around for all the sick children in the US to have their wishes come true. So while I'm not telling people NOT to donate to this little girl, maybe also consider, sometime, donating to a national charity so that all kids and their families can have a chance at some happiness in an otherwise sad time in their lives. Just wanted to put that out there.

    well said..

there's something that bothers me about singling out individuals for "special" assistance, when the ones needing help are ALL AROUND, and usually right at your doorstep. Not to slight dbl's intentions in the least, but, don't be too quick to "put all your eggs in one basket"...spread your love around..

I get what you're saying. This was brought to us bc one of the guys on the board went to school with the girl's mom. He asked for help, so that's what we're doing. Others are raising money for her treatment and money for the family bc their life has been consumed with this girl's treatments for a while. We're raising money for one thing, Disney. All money will be donated in Disney Dollars and she'll have the trip of her life. Are there other kids that need help? Absolutely. I wish I could help them all but I just can't. I am going to help this one, though.

I do get what you're saying. If it makes you feel better, we created a flag football league for special needs kids in Little Rock a few years ago. It's still going on today. We have about 50 kids a year in it.
