Hockey is so awesome...

  • Hockey is ok at best. Nowhere near as good as football baseball or basketball. There's a reason it's not really on major network's anymore. Simply because the rating's suck. It's also below nascar now I believe. Not alot of people care anymore. It was sad to see a few year's back when a huge nhl playoff game was on & they cut it off right in the middle of the game to go to one of the triple crown race's. I think the writing was on the wall then.

    There's about a 25% chance both teams even make it to round two, so you might wanna hold up on this finals talk. Flyers/Pens is a pretty even series as is Wings/Preds.

The way the revamped D has played/gelled and the fact that most of our losses to them came because of shotty goals when Bryz was still lost in his 'universe' I am actually hoping to play them due to the fact they will probably think it's going to be a cakewalk. Now if they could just figure out these slow starts they could be looking at a very long playoff run.

    Slow starts is killer. Can't come from behind four times in a series. Grossmann's out 7-10 days, hopefully closer to 7. Need the big fella out there, he's been one of the best defenders down the stretch.

    I know that the D has played 100 times better and Bryz has finally found his game but I still want to see how we play Tuesday against them before I feel comfortable.

    I agree but it is funny how a lot of hockey fans are already writing off the Flyers. The Flyers have beat the Pens 4 out of 5 times this year and I swear that even if the Flyers win on Saturday they will still be overlooked.

    Just read that Danny will be out indefinitely. Not good.

    I think the Danny thing is just posturing to make it look like they need to rally for their teammate, but I'm not sure. Hopefully that's the case. A back contusion doesn't sound that bad, especially when he was fine after the game yesterday from all accounts. Probably just sore. Grossmann being out 7-10 days is more important IMO.

  • Just watched the hit again. There's no way he has a back injury. He didn't come close to touching his back. Danny will be fine in my very non-expert opinion.

    I hope that is all it is. While Danny has not been on a hot streak scoring goals, he has had quite a few assists.

    I still wouldn't put too much into it. By the time we would play them in the playoffs mez, gross, and Danny will all be back. Possibly JVR too. Team would look completely different IMO
