Let's just say Sandusky never learned how to clean out his computer and all the communications and child porn he was sending to very large donors of the second mile and PSU....

that is just some sick shit man.

If this was covered up to protect rich donors, & not the football program. PSU has alot of footing in a court of law against the NCAA imo.

Still amazes me that some of you think that the NCAA hires their staff right out of high school.

There was purpose behind what they did and the timing of it, just like there is purpose and timing how the FBI has been handling this situation.

Penn State can only hope the NCAA is finished with them.

The big news is that people at Second Mile were close to PSU? I'm pretty sure that is widely known. Second Mile was started by Sandusky. And PSU players, coaches and administrators donated their time and money to support Second Mile over decades. And some of the PSU board members also sat on the Second Mile board. That is the big news?

I was about to say, how would this help against the NCAA? That doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, did Freeh only have access to the hand written pen-pal letters? How has his computer not been combed through 100 different ways?

Maybe it has? I have known of cases that have taken Years to come out

    This.

The FBI isn't going to release a statement letting the masses know they're investigating people.

Again, we shouldn't be told anything until the case is built unless the government needs help.

Have you ever even been to NJ or you just have watched some TV shows that are horrible representations of the state?

This is more about The Second Mile than PSU.

Although, I'm sure everyone would love PSU to just explode and lose everything, its been so fun for everyone already, why stop now.

Just think about how much a degree from PSU will be worth after they shut down the university:) Pry sell on ebay for hundreds of thousands in about 2 centuries

I've been all over the state and joke about the smell (and it does have a distinct odor in certain areas) but, as is true of all states, there are some truly nice areas. A client of mine is in Pittstown. The owner has a beautiful home on a nice piece of land. You would be hard pressed to find anyone unwilling to live where they live.

Shrug uninformed or obviously biased statements off and remember what it feels like when reading similar remarks about other states. wink_msu

Please enlighten us/me. Send me a DM if you'd like. I'm just curious as to what you know and what the NCAA's "purpose and timing" was of what they did.

The victim himself who claims to know the whole story says that Second Mile is the problem. I'm just passing that along.

  • Rumor is some big politicians in the PA-NJ-NY area were in on it and covering it up. One may be Ed Rendell, who I had a good deal of respect for in the past, but come on man! We'll see what comes out tomorrow but this is a disgusting thing. The while situation stinks.

Indeed. If there were politicians on in the cover up they need to be exposed. Corbett? Perhaps?

You think Second Mile is innocent?

Well boys and girls, we are in for a wild ride. I can't go into details, but as of 3:26 PM, we have assigned multiple reporters to this explosive story. Some of you are going to get your wish that the lid is blown off of this. A certain shock jock radio personality wasn't to far off of his rocker.

Now this portion I am typing is just my opinion, but I wouldn't be shocked if we find out why some people on the BOT etc are trying to sweep this all under the rug. From what I have seen, there is one very rich and power man connected to the university has come up in this new investigation. It is starting to sound like there was a definate coverup, but not covering up the University or Athletics, but covering up for a friend of the BOT/University.

I would hope Lubrano and the Gang would try to get the BOT meeting on Sunday cancelled, via court order if need be. Otherwise, it could appear the BOT is more guilty than what they actually are.

Corbett absolutely is involved, at least on the back-end (the 2008 case). Who knows who was involved back in the late 70's, early 80's. That is the time period we are talking about.

Nope. And neither is the Penn State admin or JoePa.

What I can tell you is I know for a fact that the NCAA pressed PSU in negotiations in private with Erickson along with advisors from the FBI. The BOT was in fact given limited info to prevent leaks and some BOT members were not invited for a reason. Which is why they were so pissed and talked about an appeal. The NCAA and PSU had a goal to get the sanctions handed out before fall camp started and definitely before students returned to avoid riots and lewd behavior from a larger mass of confused/angry 18-22 year olds.

The FBI has been working on this for almost 18 months from my understanding - how I know this is because some of my friends who work at PSU were questioned by the FBI as far back as summer of last year. My friends are just staffers an professors so I am sure they were not interviewed first.

Also - back in fall of last year - 8-10 vans were parked outside of "the second mile" office on Atherton and there were federal agents taking boxes of files and computers out of there. Sandusky's home was seized at night and all his files and personal computers were taken. Amendola was pissed because he had to work with scanned copies of files and complained that he was in an unfair position to defend his client because the prosecution was light years ahead of him and because there was so much info - he requested more time to properly prepare a defense. The main reason he did not put Sandusky on the stand is because he felt the prosecution had more info than he had and would get pummeled. The judge denied his request.

Many PSU fans complained that certain figures at PSU were never interviewed by Freeh and this proved his report to be worthless. The fact is the Attorney General prohibited Freeh to interview certain "people of interest" because they did not want it to jeapordize what the Feds were working in. Case in point - when Freeh was poking around Spanier questioned what was going on and immediately filed a suit to retrieve all his email history- he and his attorneys met with the Feds and he backed off.

Mad Dog (radio guy) started to report about a child sex ring and the connections to the second mile and Sandusky. All of the sudden he shut his mouth and PSU fans were saying it was because he was full of shit - but actually the FBI advised him to put a sock in it as they were already investigating it.
