Honest question for the board...

  • Seems like the biggest question mark at USC is the depth on their D-line. My only concern is, what happens if a team has success running the ball, controls the clock and keeps their offense off the field. Will the D-line hold up.

    Offensively, they are one of the best in the country.

    In the end, I believe LSU and USC meet in Miami and LSU wins by 2 FG's.

    I just can't stand posters that act like their team isn't running into this season with similar if not worse question marks. There is talent all over our d line throughout the depth chart. Is it experienced? Not outside of a few guys. We will see how they play.

  • LSU has history going for and against them. The past 3 years the national champion is breaking in a new QB.

    However, there hasn't been a start to finish #1 in about 10 years I believe.

    One of those two has to give. LSU is the favorite in the SEC.

    Kennard being out is trouble for USC. We all know their offense is top notch, arguably the preseason best in America. What we don't know is their defense. Time will only tell.

    Nov 3 will be the day that decides the most in college football. Probably as much a playoff game as we will see before 2 years are up

    USC has to avoid the brick they usually shit against a random team. But that was under Carroll. Kiffin may be different.

    Bama has that trip to Arkansas which worries me.

    LSU has a toughie in South Carolina and I no next to little about Oregons schedule to give an opinion on them

  • The knock on USC is always depth on the D-line. No one knows for sure because like many other programs we are starting new and younger players because of graduation and now injury. However as pointed out there is some real talent there that the SEC recruited right along with USC.

    I think everyone should wait until these players show their ability before being written off as unable to play with the big boys.

  • USC is returning 4/5 starting OL in which they gave up only 7 sacks last season. You don't rush 4 guys and get to Barkley. If teams blitz your leaving cb's on an island with USC wrs that's gonna get you toasted a lot. LSU with there so called great defense couldn't stop the average passing game of BAMA in the NC game. USC defense was very young last year to start the season but looked a lot better at the end of the year. Monte also showed a lot more trust in the DBS toward the end of the season calling more blitzes and being more aggressive. Let's just say this we all want a USC/SEC matchup
