    We'll definitely do something similar. I think Auburn's close will be very interesting. I would not be surprised at all if they pull together a furious finis.

    Yeah my bad on that. First run through writing this, I just pencilled in 2-10 because I could only remember two wins and I forgot to go back and double check that record.

    Lol, Auburn does not have "work to do" to avoid losing Lawson, and we stopped recruiting Lemond Johnson, Arshad Jackson and Jarrad Davis. No mention of getting Montravius Adams's and Toby Johnson's last visits, or signing the #1 JUCO players at RB/OG.

    I'd say it was a tad misleading, Barton. You and I both know Foster will sign with Auburn as well.

    You should've just had Weedline do the write up. It would be about as accurate.

    There was some housecleaning done on the Auburn commit list with Malzahn's hiring but they still have 2 new commitments all fall and are in need of some positive news - of which that hasn't been a whole lot.

    I praised the Malzahn hire and I still think he's going to do a good job and this class will end up being a strong group and make big waves in January. But I think you'd have to agree that they're in a rut right now and need some good news. Would you not?

    I mean, as much of a "rut" as a dead period and coaching change can provide.

    Getting positive reviews from top JUCO guys like Artis-Payne, Danzey, Longino, TJohnson and having Adams say things like "I love coach Garner, I will definitely visit Auburn now," is just white noise.

    Can't wait to see how little of an impact RichB will have on our recruiting efforts.

    Carl Lawson is personally being made a priority by Malzahn, Ellis, and Garner and the kid is in love with Auburn.

  • Auburn is in a rut. No one can deny it. No matter how much perfume you spray on mud, it's still mud. At the end of the day Malzhan will get the tigers out of it and contending once again.

    Not saying we're gonna get Monty Adams (no clue what the kid is thinking), but it has to help a little bit that we got Garner, right?

    Anyway, I hope Barton knows I was messing with him earlier. This was a solid article, and you're right, we could use some big recruiting news. Hopefully soon. Biggest recruit we've signed in my lifetime (Cam) committed to a new coaching staff on NYE, so we have time.
