I either never believed or got told at such an early age that I don't even remember, my mother is a cold bitch who "ain't got time for that". I do remember telling my sister who lived with my dad...she took it pretty rough and he was pissed. My Christmas' went like this, all presents were kept at her friends houses because she knew I would destroy the house looking for them. On Christmas morning I would awake to a game of 'hot or cold' because instead of taking the 15min to wrap my shit she would just hide all my stuff around the house. I'm 23 now and have come to the conclusion that I'm the mirror image of my mother and that we're just awful human beings...but I loathed that woman the vast majority of my childhood.

I work two jobs just to make ends which usually includes working extra on and around the holidays. Don't exchange gifts. Its kinda pointless IMO. I am not really close to my family except my parents who live across town so I see them any time of the year I want too. I eat all 365 days a year most of the time so that point is invalid.

I found out about Santa and the Easter Bunny at the same time when I was really young.
My A-hole Dad broke the news about Santa and then I said something about the Easter Bunny and this is exactly what he said.. "Matt, do you really believe there's a Giant Bunny Rabit hopping around door to door hiding Eggs for you to find?" (In a smart-ass tone of voice).
All I remember was crying and I yelled at my Dad and said "You ruined my Childhood!!"

I have 7 older siblings. In light of this, Santa was "ruined" for me to the point that I don't remember ever believing in him. Someday when I have kids, I will not tell them that Santa is real; I don't really see the point in lying to little kids.

I found out when I was 5 or 6 on Christmas Eve at my grandparents house after opening gifts. My cousin, a few years older, got pissed because I got more stuff, and decided to fugg up my childhood over it. What made it worse was that I went to my mom and dad looking for some back-up, but they told me he wasn't real. I went off, but not because he wasn't real, but because my parents lied to me and made me look like an idiot. I can vividly remember screaming at my parents, "you lied to me!"

One time in elementary school I knew a guy who would completely unwrap his NES system as soon as his mom left for work, we'd play it all day, and carefully re-wrap it again. Seemingly went on for months, not sure how the wrapping papper hadn't dissolved by then.
