You guys are so sensitive - resorting to insults an name calling instantly discredits you.
C'mon little kids act that way on the play ground
I do not understand why it is offensive to ask why Stanford is not ranked ahead of Oregon or Baylor is not ranked ahead of KState.

seriously..... do you really think like this everyday..... yikes. Alabama is still ahead of AM because alabama hasnt lost 2 games its that easy if we take your ...thought process then we have teams like nc state and baylor in the top 10 because they had one good night of football...... It kinda comes off like ur just scared of Bama or something.

Look - my point is not to flame any team - I respect all the blue bloods and the next gen dynasties - I think the AP poll an the Coaches poll are corrupt and extremely biased.
I will use Saban as an example (no flame, just relevant to the topic) - how can Nick, after losing to TAMU, rank his team higher in the coaches poll? Matter of fact how can other SEC coaches rank Alabama higher? They did and I feel the poll is completely biased and should be tossed.
I would expect the same from Brian Kelly

I keep hearing analysts and talking heads bashing the computers and I think
TAMU beats Bama at Bama and they are still ranked below them
Stanford Beats Oregon at Oregon and they are still ranked below them
I realize there are other factors that punish the Stanford and TAMU by losing earlier, but it seems the team ranked higher does not pay as big of a penalty.
The AP and Coaches poll are ranking the teams this way....
Are there other non-playoff sports where you prove you beat an opponent yet you are ranked below them?? I assume Golf is one and maybe Boxing?

Why are we talking about a tournament? The regular season isn't one-and-done in any sport. Didn't the Patriots beat the Giants twice the year they went undefeated but lost in the Super Bowl to... the Giants?

Hahahaha
If USC beats ND - they are a better team and in any tournament would send ND home.
My original theory is that the Human Polls are biased and corrupt and fans of teams that benefit from the bias would instantly spew venom at the simple thought that a much lower ranked team beating them would justify the higher ranked team dropping below them.
Fandom blinds common logic.
Ask yourself this question and clear your mind of Fandom Bias:
Taking college football out of the equation - if two teams play each other regardless of their records and team A beats team B - is team A better? Also, if you were ranking the teams in a scenario where an opinionated pre-season poll did not falsely set a standard o measurement and you had to rank the top 25 today - how would you rank it?
It is clear that ESPN and regional AP homers vote is biased to the contracts they have with conferences and personal fandom - which is why the BCS is a flawed system and until the NCAA gets to an 8 or 16 team playoff - all the confusion and venom will continue.
Maybe I am to black and white and think in absolutes.

How can you be ranked above a team that just beat you?
