The engineers in the office have completed the build on the mobile site so that users can directly upload a photograph from their Iphone/Droid straight to a message board post.

Users will be able to take a quick photo with their smartphone (or use an existing photo) and directly upload it to a message board post. This is going to be great entertainment value for the overall experience as users upload gameday food pics, tailgate pics, pics from sitting in the stands at high school or college games and all the other types of pics that will instantly bring a thread to life.

Two quick notes:

-- The service is live on the development servers and is currently in testing. The engineers have successfully tested the feature on Iphone and Droid. They will continue to bang on it for another few days, possibly a week. We plan to release this feature with upcoming release of text alerts.

-- If you have an IPhone, the feature will require the download of IOS 6. I downloaded IOS 6 last night. It is extremely easy and quick. Go to "Settings" -- "General" -- "Software Update" and then execute the upgrade.

We are very excited about this feature. It will certainly bring fun, entertainment and new content to the message boards.

I recommended this about a year ago. A program that lets you upload a picture straight from your phone.

No. I mean from your gallery straight to the board. None of this 3rd party crap.

Its on dev servers. A few more days of testing and then it will be live. It will be easy to do.

At the bottom of the page there is an option on mobile to go to full site and it will work and look like your desktop. If I need to upload a photo to the site from mobile that is usually what I do.

This feature will be added with no plugins and you will be able to do it with out using the full site. We will also be allowing larger image sizes. Most of the photos taken from mobile phone cameras are larger than 1 mb (our current limit).

Apple did not allow a browser to access your photos until the iOS 6 update.

It's going to make for some interesting threads.
