How do you feel about your class so far?

  • 6/10 because we havent gotten a single DE yet and the board looks like sh*t

im glad weve got most of the position groups filled at this point though

QB - none. dont need it

RB - green is a baller. were done unless we pull alex collins from miami

WR - outstanding. we got a slot and two big wideouts. IF we take anyone else its gravy

TE - morgan is all we need and looks to a decent receiver and a great blocker. position is done

OL - assuming we get klepal and droogsma we are done on interior. denson is gonna be a monster. OT needs work. golson looks like a RT and we really need a LT. im hoping for a hailmary and we somehow get Tunsil. Denver kirkland would be a great consolation prize though

DT - bain is not committed. we dont really need many. 1-2. senat should come back to us and then take another if hes there, if not next year

DE - HUGE need and weve got nothing. we look good for bellamy but thats it. if we can get tim williams on campus we'll get a chance but im not holding my breath til he visits. beyond that i dont know who we are looking at. this position has me really worried.

LB - great talent here and we are just reloading. wont take anyone else unless its thomas or mcmillan

S - needs work. would love to get marcell harris or jamal carter but i dont like our chances. we are in it for artie burns but it looks like our chances are getting smaller.

CB - really like marquez white. kid is underrated badly. shelton might not stick. really hope we can pull in mckensie alexander

weve got alot of guys left on the board but were gonna have to do some selling to lock them in. potential to be a top5 class

We know why you think that but everyone in Florida knows it's between FSU and Miami. Bama is not really involved. You can believe me or not.

    Hence my first sentence....

Its just one of those situations in which high ranked Miami kids handle their recruitments a certain way and Matthew hasn't even been that secretive about it. You'll call me a barner but it's widely known that Matthew listed Bama as his leader in an attempt to get five star attention/ranking.

We can do a ban bet. If he picks Bama I'm gone forever and if he doesn't your gone for one week.

For FSU I am at about a 7/10 which is undoubtedly pleased but still anxious to see how we close.

Biggest issue for me is always going to be Rick Trickett. He's a bastard and few want to play for him. Richy Klepal is committing on the 17th so our LG--->RT spots will be well filled. WELL filled actually. But the LT is nowhere to be found. I'd have given every dollar to my name for FSU to have fired him and hired Bollman this offseason. JUST as an OL coach, not as an OC. We may settle for Kyle Meadows at LT. Luckily we have a RSo starter there so we have time.

RB: Ryan Green is a star, he is very Marshall Faulk-LIKE, we still need another though. Freeman has a back injury, Wilder makes bad decisions, and Pender "keeps it real" as well. We need to add Alex Collins IYAM

WR: We're ballin. We're already stacked and it seems we'll sign the class UF needed. Stacey Coley is all but committed we hear.

    TE: Nice

DE: Will be decided between now and ~August 15th. I believe Davin Bellamy and Za'Darius Smith commit August 1st and just thereafter respectively. We'd then be looking for a LE/SDE. Kendrick Hair maybe at the top of the list.

DT: Bain is not committed, only internet websites think he is. We need two, Deadrin Senat is a Nole unless we move on. He's a very good NT. Bostwick? Bain loops back when we shell Miami? Other?

LB: Killing it. Great 4 man group and we lead for Matthew Thomas, yes we do. If we add him then this is America's top group.

CB: A lot to be seen. Seems we are pushing S.Shelton towards South Carolina. Marquez White is a 4 star no doubt, Adrian Baker is above decent/solid, now we're pressing for Mackensie Alexander. He's a super star in the making.

S: A lot to be seen. We likely need 3.

    Dude you dont want Bollman.

Its also nearly impossible to beat Miami out for a 5 star Miami kid when immediate playing time is available

Sanctions could play a role but if they do he will go to FSU before Bama, for a number of reasons

Watching Telvin Smith all year will give him major boners all year long as well

They are practically the same exact player, Thomas is just ranked higher

Yeah we need a great recruiter more than some old school bad ass who is way past his prime

He gets negative recruited so hard by many schools and it works a lot of the time

Ira Denson was going to FSU even if they dropped football

He is doing okay this year but imho there is no excuse for not landing Tunsil

Filled a huge need in Bateman.

A little steamed about Foster but shit happens. Thankfully we have talent stockpiled at LB.

Would like to see another OL hopefully Kenneth Santa Marina(sp?).

Also another CB is a priority

Demarcus Walker would be big news.

Not sure how I feel on bringing in 3 RBs if Henry committs to us.

I like the class so far.
    QB - Thrilled
    RB - Thrilled
WR - Not a need so I like what we have and would go nuts if we added Ro. Foster
TE - Thrilled with OJ, Henry or McNeil would be icing on the cake
OL - Like Ichabod, I would love to see another OT added to the class
DL - Work to be done prospects still on the board
LB - Ray Lewis type LB's don't grow on trees, losing RF hurt. Still some good prospects on the board, but given last years class not an area of need.
DB - Would like to add one more quality CB, but happy otherwise.

Hard to whine about what will likely be a top 3 class, if not the top class in the country.

  • QB: Browne, all we need. Franchise type QB.

RB: Ty Isaac and Justin Davis fill a huge need we had. Lane locked down his top two targets.

TE: not taking one this year

WR: Steven Mitchell was a pleasant surprise, as we're Sebastian LaRue and Eldridge Massington. Two solid slots with a tall burner on the outside at flanker. All solid high 4*s, but not 5's like the last few years.

OL: After taking a big coup last year, we're looking for a tackle and got a solid OT prospect in Fallah. To go with Rodgers at OG the OL is full, seeing as two 2014 OT's are committed.

DT: was the most important need of this class, and lane/orgeron killed it landing two 5* in Kenny Bigelow and Eddie Vanderdoes.

DE: Kylie Fitts is a nice top 100 4* kid, but need some depth and will likely add one more by February. One of Pevot/Hatcher/Mathis most likely.

LB: Michael Hutchings was the main target here and was landed, not taking any more lbs with a young lb corps.

CB: Chris Hawkins is already committed, and Jalen Ramsey will commit Monday. That leaves one spot for Priest Willis or Vernon Heargraves. We currently lead for both.

S: Su'a Cravens is committed, and we lead for Max Redfield. Tahaan Goodman could commit, but Redfield is higher on the board.

  • Im at an 8/10 for UF's class, right now.

Really want to finish up with 2 more on the d-line, a couple more on the o-line, and another lb.

Missed this yr at the qb position, but I really like the rest of the skill position recruits. Would love to regain the lead from Clemson for Demarcus Robinson, but if Hawkins sticks, I feel pretty good about the 3 committed.

    CRgator1

  • Top 3 class. I'm pleased since we landed Bateman and McLeod. Signing a top flight QB was my only concern. I say 9/10. We sign Robert Foster and its a 10/10.

I don't worry about signing defensive talent. Our coaches are the best in the biz at recruiting defense and developing said talent.

  • So far so good, IMO we look to take the 1 more of the following positions WR, DL, RB, 1 or 2 CB’(s)
    247 rankings
QB-(Good)4*Malik Zaire- good Dual Threat QB good arm and can keep plays alive, always looks down field.
RB-no RB’s so far, but we have 4 good ones already no big push this year RB’s will be a need in 14
WR’s-(OK)4* Corey Robinson 6’4” close to 6-5 son on “The Admiral” a little raw but nice upside, 3*James Onwualu 6’2”, will take one more WR I’m hoping for Devon Allen.
TE-(Good)4* 6’4” Mike Heuerman- one of the top TE’s
OL-(Great)4* Steve Elmer, 4* Hunter Bivin, 4* Mike McGlinchey, 4*Colin McGovern, 3* John Montelus- nice OL haul this year, not as good is Michigan’s but give them a run for their money.
DL-(Good)4* Isaac Rochell, 4* Jacob Matuska most likely will take one more DL -looking at Dajaun Drennon or Jordan Sherit
LB-(Great) VERY solid LB class 5* OLB Jaylon Smith, 4* ILB Alex Anzalone, 3* ILB Michael Deeb and OLB 3* Danny Mattingly- I think the two 3* will get a forth before NSD.
DB-(could use some work) 4*6’2” Devon Butler (may play safety if we take 4 CB’s), 4* Rashad Kinlaw-will need one more CB would take 4 if we can get an elite CB (fingers crossed)
Good group of kids just hope we can hang on to them all pray I think we’ll finish in the top 10 when it’s all said and done, MAYBE top 5.

Basically waiting for Willis, Redfield, Ramsey(Mon. the 16th) and a special DE from the southeast to go public. Willis will announce at the Under Armor game...Redfield scheduled to announce at the Under Armor game, although he could commit sooner...and the DE whenever he's ready. VHiii is a wild card at this point if the current deck gets reshuffled.

The class is pretty much complete at this point.
