So a thread would first have to achieve a certain level of significance to become badge eligible or there must me enough requests for said badge to make it worthy of someone's time to implement it. The only other options aside from those mentioned above would consist of a home board related badge that one can only get by being a member of said board. This has a national vs state government feel to it.....

You can get a badge from another teams board, too. Certain threads that go on forever (Video game, daytime crew, late night crew, beer thread, etc) all have badges for people who are regular posters. Just find one you like, or a board that you enjoy and post away.
