What do you all feel is the proper side dish to a steak? My dad would have nothing but a baked potato with butter.... anything else would be bullshit.

Yea for people that want what you want, I always suggest MR and if they need it a little bit more then we can get it back on the grill. I've actually converted a few people to MR by doing this

Baked Potato with cheese butter and bacon bits, green beans, mash potatos or mixed steamed veggies. Thats what I do

Yeah....the only thing I don't want it the steak to be beat red and not easy to cut.
To this day, the most perfect cooked steak I've had was at Mesa Grill in NYC. It was a thick NY strip that was perfectly even all the way through. Couldn't believe it. And it was delish.

More of a steam veg person, I ain't sure if it is because potatoes with meat clog me up or if veg sounds similar to vag.

I just remember all the hating that went on about Steve's restaurant on TOS... pretty funny stuff. But I would love to actually go try it... long trip for me so I would have to be down there. Unless Steve wants to fly me down for a review.
