How far does Mark Barron fall?

They certainly don't come to Auburn to get the "Saban bump", but to actually get ready for the next level. I will give you that.

So you'd rather have two first rounders in like five years that were ungodly talented on their own and then claim they were devoloped under your coaches and that is why they went and did what they did?

Bama will put out more 1st rounders this year than AU will in the next 3 or 4 combined

Maybe. But our 2nd and 3rd rounders will be better NFL players with more successful careers. Ben Tate is already showing us this to be accurate.

So you claim your first rounders weren't ungodly talented, but were developed by your coaching staff... hmmm, why doesn't this logic apply to our players?

  • Don't we have an official thread for this stuff? Ichabod is slipping.

It's hard to take a good angle when one is SLOW.

Agreed. This is why Auburn was able to take so much advantage of him. He had to be overaggressive and gamble to compensate for athleticism and we torched him.

Because our LBs lift the bar more than 4 times.

I forgot about all those offensive TD's y'all scored against us this year.

I'll match your Ben Tate with Julio,Rolando, and Dareus(Ingram would be up here if he didn't get hurt IMo).

Like Neiko Thorpe, AMIRITE? We have a pool going if you want in on it: Will Thorpe's Wonderlic score be higher or lower than his bench press numbers?

In case you forgot, he put the bar up an astonishing 4 times. That's NFL ready right there.

Is it really that big of a deal for a safety to have great bench numbers?

He also showed to have more athleticism than Murked Barren. He just isn't at all a good football player and doesn't deserve to be drafted.

Not really, but this guy is acting like an idiot and I'm over the "trolling" fad so I'm just going to lay into him and treat him like the moron he is or is "pretending" to be. I've got nothing against the rest of you.

Yep. The only missing from Auburn's recruiting pitch is the ability to sell the potential of a national championship.

Damnit I didn't want to get roped into this but oh well... We have some pretty good NFL players also. Ben Grubbs was a late first round pick that is a pro bowler. Marcus McNeil was a second rounder that was a pro bowler. Nick Fairly also did pretty good for the times he did play.

You do have good NFL players, as do well. What you're saying is reasonable and well thought out. What Howard is saying is hilarious and borderline delusional.

James Carpenter = 4* JUCO that received the Bama bump in the draft
Nick Fairley = 3* JUCO OL who learned a completely different position

    Absolutely agree.

BTW I tried to delete the post I wrote because I really don't care to be in this discussion for the reasons you stated about the OP.

This guy thinks he is knowledgeable of college football because he got to march on the field during halftime.

Your measuring stick is Cam Newton.

You know that is completely unreasonable.
