Is aging a disease that can be cured? Lots of really good articles on both sides out there. Its crazy to think what technology and life will be like for our kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

this is a part of the research that i'm working on right now as well... pretty interesting stuff when you consider that everything that you do is actually slowly killing you. The moment you begin breathing you begin dying... My research is on combating the aging affects of free radicals...

Alzheimers is one of the more rapidly increasing conditions in medicine. Is it due to the fact that people are living longer or is it an environmental issue stemming from modern life and all of the new compounds and chemicals we all are exposed to?

Alzheimers has been attributed to plaques/dark spots in the brain if I'm not mistaken. There was a guy I can't remember his name that said its from brain wear and tear. Slight bumps on he head over time that eventually add up. We have a dude at our school that is working on this as well.

Ray Kurzweil , considered by some as the new American Albert Einstein , says that people will be able to live hundreds of years in the very near future due to science being able to literally do an " upgrade" to our brains; there is a show on Netflix that outlines this guy and he is one smart mother

Kurzweil is a smart man and legit inventor but I'd take all this singularity stuff with a grain of salt. Its essentially religious in nature but using technological salvation as an answer to death rather than spiritual.

I think the point is that you wouldn't "feel old" till you were like 900 then you'd be old for around 100 years.
Most on here don't take the Bible seriously but man lived that long before Genesis 6 when God shortened their lifespan.
