Strange that he is considering Ohio Stat. Meyer didn't have any success at UF with a RB that wasn't a scat back type. A big guy like this fits more of a pro system IMO.

Except for the fact that Ohio State used Hyde as a power run back you might have a case. :)

I think he has adjusted his system to fit the B1G. Meyer is using a big back and recruting more of them

If Rod Smith has a breakout year as a backup I really think it helps the case. Rod Smith is 6'3 and has a similar build, this is something that should be eye-opening for Hurd. IMO

Dunne is a big back too. Meyer has said that he planned to use a power run version of the spread offense at tOSU.

He had big backs at UF too. He had highly recruited guys. They just never could get it done against an SEC defense. Maybe that will change, it just seems strange to me he is after guys like that.

I think as much as Bama, UGA and UF will appeal that this will be Vandy vs Tenn. Both will have him a mile above every other prospect on their board from day one.
