    I don't think anyone would consider these to be accurate rankings.

    Its amazing that Nick Saban has been able to keep his job with all those overated scrubs he signs...Auburn clearly signs better players than Alabama every year. Its not Auburns fault that the NFL has an Alabama bias just like all the recruiting sites. They're drafting all these Bama guys in the first round over better AU prospects..

    I'm not sure you can argue rankings until all these players are 2 years in. Then and Only then can you tell who was a hit or miss. Barrett Jones should have been a 5 star. Same with Josh Chapman an Marcel Dareus. Robert Lester as well. Hell, according to most, Lester was only given a scholarship so we could land Julio which is his best friend Bama has/had a bunch of 3 stars that according to what they've done in college were 5 star talent.

    I may speak to the minority, but I don't judge until a guy proves he sucks. The majority of Bama fans on tBB are pretty good IMO, some who suck obviously but that comes with having a huge board over here. That being said, his post was filled with fail.

  • I'm sure all schools have those 3-4 stars that really turned out to be 5 stars. Evaluating is mostly an opinion because you can't evaluate character and work ethic. I'd just hold off until we see what they can do.

    Yep. Michigan's biggest blog has this guy called the Mathlete who crunched the numbers on the star system and what it means. While there are obviously outliers, and players that scouts miss on (being overrated, or underrated) the numbers have proven over history the more stars you have the better chance you have of making the NFL.

    I am trying to find the article but can't right now, once I find it I'll post..

    I hear ya. There are just a few Bama posters on here that flame everything AU no matter what. I hate AU with a passion but I at least read the posts before I attempt to hate.

    if you only knew how many times a day I have to hear ESPN hates Auburn and Loves Alabama from Barners you'd understand..In this case I saw UA and CHizik and assumed we were back on the ESPN is giving props to Alabama and downplaying Auburn gripe..My Bad,Carry on...

  • We often see what ranks NFL picks were in HS according to scout and rivals. Would be interesting to see how accurate ESPN is.

    They definitely are biased to kids who commit to the UA game, tho.
