You're right and wrong about a few things.

You're right that dissenting opinion is often met with strong resistance over there. However, you're wrong about it being stupid to be downvoted. The downvote is working perfectly. The purpose is to reflect the opinion of the masses on your statement or opinion in a post. The masses thought your opinion in that post was retarded, which it was. I am dead serious when I ask what in the hell do you mean we (you, I and the rest of Bol) should hold grant accountable? Do you pay him? I doubt it. It was super dramatic and worthy of downvotes. If your point was that you were disappointed and you wish the team was farther along, and you had stated it as such, you might have gotten a dv, but not like that.

On to BOL in general. The population is predominately homers. Do you expect any different? It's people who love their team so much that they pay 100 a year to read stuff they could read a little bit later for free. It just comes with the turf of team sites. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a team board for any decent program that doesn't have a high opinion of itself, harbor serious I'll will for arch rivals, complain about refs and bad calls, and promote all other homerish behavior. It just it what it is. Learn to actually not care about downvotes (not pretend to not care but make a post here about it under the pretense that you think it's funny) and you can enjoy Bol.

I agree with this 100% - have to admit, there are more "logically thinking people" here and you can actually discuss and have a disagreement without everyone calling you a barner over there on BOL.
