I don't get all the hate for Bama fans

  • BetterOff said...

Hard not to like Oregon for anyone who has been there. I loved Eugene when I was there. Have some family that live in Coos Bay which isn't too far Southwest of Eugene.

Bizarre coincidence... While I was there I dated a girl who transferred in from Bama. But she grew up in Coos Bay - nice, but kind of dueling banjos...

U of O btw, is teaming with southern school style talent. Shocked the hell out of me. The chicks with the macrame arm pit hair were in the distinct minority.

It truly amazes me that a program with the tradition of Bama still has fans talking smack to fans of other teams. You'd think that with their multiple championships they could take the high road and just ignore the petty haters.

I guess that's what makes Bama fans a "little different."

Bama fans act the way they do because of the non-stop hate from all around the country. Even when Bama was down and losing to crappy programs, everyone rubbed it in to the fullest extent, especially auburn fans.

Does anyone remember how ESPN handled the coaching search? After a random sportscenter, one of the anchors said "breaking news, Alabama still doesn't have a coach." Even after the Saban hire, the haters were still out in full force refusing to accept that they were wrong (Corso, Mike & Mike, etc). YouTube Dick Vitale rant about Saban. Now that Bama is back, the haters really can't stand it and have to resort to childish stereotypes, name calling, and baseless rumors.

If your favorite team had to put up with the constant bs that Bama fans put up, you would grow tired of it too. But success does breed hate for the losers, so I don't mind the trade off.

I have only one beef with Bama fans. Many of them anyway.

It's not enough to be content that your team is epic, but you have to also fall in line with the SEC SEC retardation. You happily throw out the coattails for the rest of the riff-raff to ride. At least during SC's dynasty run they acknowledged (happily) that the rest of the PAC couldn't sniff their balls.

One of my pet peeves: Fans of schools who have never won anything telling schools that have they have no room to talk

The Bama fans who actually attended the university have always been hospitable. It's the ones who have no connection to the school whatsoever that are the retards.

Most of Oregon is very dueling banjos. One of the last times I was out there I was driving from Coeur d'Alene to Bend and had just crossed the Columbia River on Hwy 97. Forgot that I was already in Oregon for a minute and when I stopped at this tiny mom and pop gas station tried to pump my own gas. A big hairy with Jerry bears on his chest comes running out without a shirt on yelling at me. I dropped the nozzle immediately and backed away. Sorry I forgot your stupid laws dude!

Seriously though, Oregon in a great state. My cousin went to Oregon St and his wife went to Oregon.

I love Coos Bay and that whole Siuslaw forrest area. Always go catch and eat crabs when we are there.

Coeur d'Alene to Bend... Yep, say no more mein bruder. Gotta pack up the AR-15s and head to the high ground when the feds come calling. What a joke though. It's like they can't tell the difference between an actual Nazi and someone that's just a very big admirer.

Yeah Oregon is a pretty sweet place if you have any love for outdoor pursuits. Great skiing as well. Haven't been back there in years though.

Based on the tweets from Pzzu fans after Redd left I have no doubt you try and strike up these conversations a lot.

  • Virtually everybody would love for their school to be where Bama is right now. The number of schools that can reasonably deny it is in the single digits. Jealousy is natural. And I say this as a non-Bama fan.
