I dont think the evidence is strong enough to say interception

Do both hands have to be on the ball to be considered "possession"? NOPE.

You are 100% wrong, if two ppl are going for the ball the only way the ball is rewarded to the offense if it is simultaneous possession where they both have their hands on the ball and maintain it till they hit the ground. having 1 hand on a ball when some 1 else has full possession is an interception. See the Greg Reid Interception vs. Alabama last year.

lol You, the King and Seahawks players and fans are the only ones that see it that way.

And you guys are all wrong. Even a Seattle newspaper writer said it was a bad call.

you forgot the most important one, the NFL and the officials and the replay official

Wel then your football knowledge is complete gutter trash, these refs have no idea what their doing they've made awful call after awful call and your expect them to make a right call. Are you kidding me man?

I hate the refs and think they suck but my point is there is not enough evidence to overturn the call.

If the ref said it was a int , no way they overturn either

  • Even Marshawn Lynch said the packers got robbed and it was an interception.

not at all. If Tate pulls it down and then tucks it under one arm, it does not matter that he does not have two hands on the ball. Two hands are not required to have possession, that is a fact. If a player has the ball tucked against his body and the other player reaches out and has two hands touching the ball does that mean the player with two hands on the ball has possession? NOPE.

if you can honestly watch that play and think it was a touchdown idk what to say about your football knowledge. Im done arguing this.

I agree. If it was ruled an interception I don't think that would have been overturned either.

The Packers player had possession first, came down, and kept control. It is not a simultaneous possession because the packer had it first. It doesn't matter if Tate has 1, 2 or 3 hands on the ball Jennings had it first and maintained control. interception. game over. Packers win. The refs got it wrong its very clear.

  • you know, everyone is auguring was it an interception or not. My question is why did the DB not just punch that ball away instead of trying to pick it off? If that ball is batted up and backwards out of the endzone, which the DB could have done since he was the first person to touch the ball, the game would never have been up to a call by a referee.

    I disagree.

There is no clear camera angle to show the ball during the catch

    MarylandDawg

  • The refs on the field screwed up, the replay guy did the right thing.

The refs probably had a worse view of the ball than the camera so hard to blame them too much .

  • Only the on the field referees are replacements. The replay officials are the same guys they have always had. Apparently they are not part of the union. I would hope that they made the correct call since they have been making the calls all along.

The replay official isn't the one that actual makes the replay decision. Their job is merely to decide if a replay should happen and to walk the referee through the play when he is under the hood. The referee (replacement in this case) still looks at the video under the hood and makes the final call. That's the huge difference between the college and NFL replay systems.
