I bet she woke up and thought, "oh shit, what did I do". Now it's rape. Not buying it. All it takes is allegations of something like this and people will never look at you the same again.

Except the police were called at 2:48 a.m.

Then replace "woke up" with "rolled over" and we are good.

  • I believe the accuser should have her name revealed if the players end up not guilty of rape. This shit would stop these crazy women from accusing innocent guy of rape. It's too easy.

(I'm not saying these guys are innocent)

One in four college girls have survived rape or attempted rape. But only 2% of sexual assault reports are determined to be false.

But I'm sure it makes you all feel better to think that it's the girl's fault for drinking and hanging out with men, and of course she was probably lying, because men like these don't 'need' to rape to get laid.

95% of college rapes are not reported. Only 2% of sexual assault reports are false. But yes, I'm sure it's just 'too easy' to go through the legal process of accusing a person of rape.

I had a fraternity brother wrongly accused. He was kicked out of school, the fraternity, and also lost his job.

The bitch ended up recanting her story and said it was consensual.

You are going way further than TT requires.

And there's also a difference between having sex and not remembering AND being raped. Many accusations stem from the girl not "remembering" what exactly happened. It's BS.

You're posting a bunch of victim-blaming trash and haven't received even a small fraction of what this shit thread 'requires'.

Never once blamed her, just simply pointing out the problem with inviting two dudes back to your hotel room alone after drinking. The same way I would point out the problem in putting yourself in any compromising situation. You get shot dealing with a sketchy drug dealer, am I supposed to sympathy?

Are you seriously comparing a woman hanging out with men and drinking to buying drugs? As if socializing with men is a crime for which rape is a consequence?

This is an entire thread about how it's a woman's responsibility to not get raped. It's disgusting and you should know better. Think of all the women you knew in college or know now. Many of them have been raped. You probably knew many of their rapists too. I wonder if one of them were to confide in you if your response would be: "Well, why did you put yourself in that situation?"

Socializing in a bar is WAY different than inviting two men back to your hotel room. This wasnt her house or her apartment. This was her hotel room.

By the way, do you mind linking some reports that back up your statistics? Also, when you say rape, do you mean all definitions or just penetrative?

25% of college girls raped??? GTFO. Where's the website to back this up? Rape is a horrible thing but so is a drunk girl claiming rape because she can't remember what happened or she wants to get paid. We can all tell you have had some issue like this in your life but don't direct that attitude at tBB. You can't make a difference in here. It's not real life. Just a message board.

Damn right a shame on them to take advantage of a drunk chick. If it was my sister or daughter the police would be the last thing they'd need to worry about right now.

I can DROWN you in studies that prove everything I said is true (to be clear what I said was 'one in four college girls have survived rape or attempted rape,' which is true). And since I'm being asked, I will.

In 1995 the CDC found that 20% of approximately 5,000 women on 138 college campuses experienced rape during the course of their lifetime.

    http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/vach20

A 2004 study of approximately 25,000 college women nationwide found that 4.7% experienced rape or attempted rape during a single academic year.

    http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/cas/Documents/rapeintox/037-Mohler-Kuo.sep1.pdf

A 2007 study of 2,000 college women nationwide found that 5.2% experienced rape every year.

    https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/grants/219181.pdf

A 2000 study based on a 1996-97 survey found that 10.1% of college women reported experiencing rape prior to entering college. 10.9% reported attempted rape prior to college.

    https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/182369.pdf

43% of college-aged men conceded to using coercive behavior to have sex (including ignoring a woman's protest, using physical aggression, and forcing intercourse) but did not admit that it was rape.

American Academy of Pediatrics, Committee on Adolescence. (1994). Sexual assault and the adolescent. Pediatrics, 94(5), 761-765.

One in 4 college-aged women report experiences that meet the legal definitions of rape or attempted rape.

Most survivors of sexual assaults at college are full-time students. Approximately one-third of them are first year students between 17-19 years old.

In a survey of students at 171 institutions of higher education, alcohol was involved in 74% of all sexual assaults.

I'm sorry if confronting people with uncomfortable truths is an attitude you don't want me directing at this board but unfortunately you're going to have to deal with it!

  • Let's all just let the authorities handle this and not continue to point blame anywhere. Unfortunate all the way around this incident.
