Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said on his weekly radio call-in show Wednesday night that FSU is in negotiations to try to play in a 2014 kickoff game. The Orlando Sentinel has learned the negotiations aren't final but are close.

Actually it looks like Nevada is going to back out on us leaving us again scrambling for someone to fill that spot. Because it has been known for months that they are wavering, I am sure that FSU has been contacting other decent schools to see if we can schedule them. Also remember that the WVU game was supposed to be played in WV in 2014 so when they backed out this year it also screwed us for next year. For 2014 FSU is in negotiations for an opening weekend kickoff game at a neutral site and starting 2015 the ACC will be getting some ND games. Everyone can believe what they want but it appears that FSU is doing what it can to beef up our OOC games (to combat the crappy conference games we have to play)
