  • What's wrong with UPS? I remember Vanderbilt offering full scholarships for students that had their parent work at UPS for at least a year. That was the only requirement.

    Like others have said, pretty good money and benefits.

    Yeah I don't believe this for a second. Vanderbilt is about 50k a year, if not more, and there are geniuses that don't even get accepted to that school much less schollies. I'm not saying that UPS is a shitty job but there is no way that Vanderbilt gives schollies out like that.

    Vandy reps told us about the scholarship. I was there for it.

    You had to be accepted into Vanderbilt for it obviously, but there no extra hoops to jump through unlike most scholarships. Only a few were given out per year. I can't remember how many though. No more than ten.

    Vandy was roughly 58k when I had interest.

    Really the room above the garage is where it's at IMO. Basements you worry about flooding, poor insulation, etc.
