I know quite a few rednecks who claim to be ND fans. Used to know a lot more but then they became USC fans and I assume they're Bama fans now, but there used to be plenty around.

Was this 30 years ago when they were ND fans?

    Yeah. I'm getting old.

  • I'd buy American every time if they created cars that were the best. The problem is that they don't. The Chevy Volt is awesome, but at 40k, you might as well buy a used Prius. I'll try to stay away from the "Union's killed the American car industry" speech.

Still can't beat a Jeep though. Love 'em. (though I don't currently own one)

    Yeah. I'm getting old.

I have known people that were FSU fans in the late 90's, Miami fans in the early 2000's and then made their way to UF in the late 2000's.

    Some people are ridiculous.

'97 Nissan pickup, bought in '02 for $2500 and still running strong. That 140hp beast has moved me completely across the country twice.

bought a 5 year old car for 2.5K, straight hustler.

  • The only thing foreign about the Titan is the company. Engines are made in Tennessee and the trucks are assembled in Mississippi (as a poster above said).

You're supporting hardworking Americans who built that vehicle. Be proud of that.

Yep. God, I hate fair-weather fans...and I hate them more now than ever before.

I know Toyota has more parts and manufacturing performed in the U.S. than Ford and Chevrolet (Canada and Mexico), but I am not sure about Nissan.

5yrs old, less than 50K miles, for $2500. Bought off an old neighbor who used it just to pick up stuff from Home Depot. I have gotten my money's worth.

Na, the guy in the back who did my finances was telling me about the new ideas for 2013 model. But I haven't looked it up or anything. Might've just been feeding me BS.

    I own 2 toyotas...

have fun filling it up panic

A lot of Toyota's are made in America by Americans, I bought a new platinum Tundra 2 months ago that was built in Texas. Damn good truck and would not buy anything else. My 2005 Tundra had 285,000 miles on it and never had a wrench touch it other than brakes, shocks, struts, tires and standard maintainence. Sold it for $12,500.00.

No your not a POS. I do business with Nissan. Engines are built in Dercherd TN. Most cars and trucks are assembled in Smyrna TN. Also the corporate offices are in Smyrna too. Suppliers who provide parts for Nissan are all over the southeast. I'm going to the Smyrna plant next week to meet with them on some projects. I love the Nashville area.

Go out there and slam the tailgate on that Tundra. Has the bed stopped quivering yet? It's no wonder that guys are complaining about how Tundra beds are banging into the cab. That frame is made out of toothpicks.

    Word.

I sold my '03 LT Silverado 2 years ago when I got sick. It was loaded with everything, leather, nav, Bose, it had 61K miles. I got less than $12K for it.

When I decided I was well enough to go back to work I bought an '06 Tundra TRD quad cab with 81K miles. It's tighter than the Chevy was when I bought it new. Keep the fluids changed and take care of them and they will virtually last forever.

I would have bought a Titan if I would have found a clean one first. They're just as nice IMO.

Tundras are cool. I'm on my second silverado and neither have been in the shop. After I win the lottery Friday, I'm gonna buy a brand new Chevy 2500 Duramax. The GM bailout debacle still sickens me, but I have never had quality issues with them.
