I take back what I took back yesterday RE Emmert (F him)

  • It turns out the Emmert bullied us into accepting the punishments. If not, the NCAA would have levied a multi-year "death penalty" and additional sanctions. Emmert was willing to destroy the program AND the community (16 billion economic impact yearly in PA due to PSU football).

    |=vck him. That is WAYYYYYY overstepping his boundries. No due process, bully tactics eliminating a chance for an appeal, slanderous remarks degrading PSU student athlete's academic achievements (which are well above the NCAA average) and the hypocrisy of punishing a university for giving too much power to a small group of men all while using dictatorial force to hand down sanctions.

I am not saying that we should not have received sanctions, BTW. I'm saying this whole process was even more corrupt than what we typically expect from the NCAA. And that's saying something.

    EDIT: Added link.

U mad bro? Ok seriously a couple points. First, the program was already destroyed my JP and Sandusky. And the money is being used to help set up a fund. Your university endowment is well over a billion you will be fine there. Why don't you do yourself a favor and think of the victims for once and not your beloved football program. The only unjust punishment was the bowl ban for four years.

It had to happen and it had to be harsh. There aren't rules for these situations.

  • Penn State paid for an exhaustive investigation that spanned 6 months. As Emmert pointed out it was more in-depth than any investigation the NCAA could have ever done.

You as a delusional Penn State fan (as well as the delusioinal Paterno family) simply fail to accept the findings of that report.

I'm sure finghting the NCAA on this would have been excellent PR for Penn State. I'm with you in that I'm sad that all of us aren't getting the opportunity to see that trainwreck play out.

I think if the university had not accepted the Freeh report then you could make an argument that the process was flawed.

  • And while your taking it, tell the Paternos and Spanier to shut the fluck up already

  • Id be surprised if more stuff doesn't come out and the NCAA doesn't go back to tell you the truth. The national media will not let this die and are investigating on their own.

Clearly Emmert is at fault. Nothing to do with a man shoving his penis into the anus of children, in their locker room, and having those is charge do nothing about it. Clearly Emmert held a gun to the PSU's head while they signed off on it.

  • Congrats to your guys for accepting the lighter punishment.

Emmert seems like a reasonable man to allow you to pick your own punishment. Quit bitching.

    mpcoan

  • The "process" was fine.

    - The NCAA used the Freeh Report as it's investigation. That report is accepted as fact by Penn St, The Big Ten, and the NCAA. It was a more thorough investigation then the NCAA has ever conducted themselves.

    - The NCAA quickly and swiftly determined a proper punishment based on the investigation. Heck, as you've pointed out, they even gave Penn St an option.

    - Based on the report and criminal, and soon to be civil, trials Penn St shouldn't complain about "the process" of anything. If Penn St followed any type of legal, moral, or ethical process regarding children being raped in their football facilities this wouldn't be an issue. So for anyone complaining about a PROCESS, to me, just comes across as extremely hypocritical and irrelevant.

  • NCAA isn't great, but they did the right thing in this case.

I understand you all not wanting to hear such bad news about your program and beloved school. I honestly would NOT want to believe my own school could do such horrible things, but this happened at PSU. Seeing the news and most of the comments coming from PSU post-announcement, most still seem to be in denial and think everyone is out to get them. What would happen if it were your son or daughter that was a victim?? Accept that what happened did indeed happen and punishment is now rendered. The best thing all of you can do is accept what you've been dealt for your program's terrible actions. Move forward and learn from it.

If you all keep perpetuating this with your "F- the NCAA" statements and other defiant comments, you will continue to swim in the muck that is the incidents that happened there.

  • Here's a crazy idea: if you just reveal that a sick bastard on your staff is touching little boys, none of these punishments occur! *GASP*

  • What don't you degenerates understand? I am not talking about the sanctions. Clearly, we would have been sanctioned. I'm talking about the president of the NCAA disregarding due process and taking upon himself to sanction for, in his view, letting a man have too much power. He is being hypocritical.

This does not have to do with the actual sanctions. I don't know how many times I need to say it.
