You would think as smart as penn st players/alumni think they are they would realize that tressel lying and not reporting what he knew got the school sanctions. Had he reported them the players would have been declared ineligible. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good story. Also, a reasonably intelligent person would understand why people affiliated with penn st should stay away from talking about other teams sanctions in any way. Reading penn st fans question another coach's integrity/character is laughable.

Actually it has everything to do with the topic. You're linebacker is saying "We didn't do anything, while they actually did things" Too bad your coach did something. A coach is more important to a college team than the players are, therefore things that involve a coach and football should be looked at harder.

i thought a good part of the PSU sanctions was the lack of centralized compliance...
PSU players have been running a muck around campus for years without any discipline outside of a stadium cleaning.
"Triponey recommended suspensions; Paterno pushed for community service that included having the team clean up the stadium for two hours after each home game.
In the end, four players were briefly suspended during the off-season. They didn't miss a game."

If you knew anything about Triponey, you wouldn't be using her in your post.
I also have very little issue with the way Joe handled his players. Despite what that asshat Emmert says, our grad rates are way above the average...and above another certain school's average to boot.
Not saying we are or have been perfect, but we've been better than nearly everyone at producing STUDENT-athletes from our university.
