No you don't. Winning this game won't fix the outcome, although I think if they were 100% on firing him the he'd be gone already.
Personally, I think Jacobs hasn't already fired him because he thinks that could lead to his firing as well.

I just think a loss would get the noose secured and the horse walking. Gene is done at AU, I just don't see why waiting to fire him makes more sense than doing it now and starting a search.

I agree. $2.5 million at AU isn't that big of a deal. Maybe they feel they owe Chizik this to wait until the season's over because of 2010, but it still wont make it good for him. Plus, getting a new coach on board in December, immediately after the season, instead of January can give him some time to salvage the recruiting class before official visits start.

Forget rankings. There are at least 40 or 50 players that schools like bammer, Georgia, LSU, and Florida would have taken. It is hard to believe all those players were overrated

There are some good players, not sure about 40-50. Hard to say just looking at stars. Have to develop and doesn't look like AU has. I do like Lutz, mcaleb, & 55. Sure there are a few more
