I would like to LOL at the Auburn SSP'ers

  • Loeffler was the #1 choice? Yeah okay. Sure. The guy has been an OC for all of one year. Beyond that? A QB coach for 12 years. This is plan E if I've ever seen one. We needed a walk-off grand slam, yet all we got was a pop out in foul territory.

How can anyone see this as a good thing? No one knows who he is. Recruits sure as heck have no clue who he is, and our recruiting has already gone down the drain for 2012. The next few years are going to be painful, imo.

  • I think he was Chizik's first choice outside of a current NFLer. He was #2 on my list (after Roman, before Cameron), and I know more than Chizik anyway.

While I agree that anybody touting this guy as the top choice or a "QB guru" are SSPers to the umpteenth degree, I do admire their ability to pump up his resume to include "coaching" numerous super bowl champions while he was actually just a grad assistant.

Who knows? I think that the lack of playcalling history may actually work to AU's advantage this year. Nobody knows what to expect from this guy.

If he turns Moseley or Frazier into a solid SEC QB, then he'll get major props.

tiger this is about the 1st post where i completely agree. he wasnt anywhere near the 1st choice just like freakn vangorder wasnt the 1st choice!!! thats just chiziks way of making the faithful feel like theyre the best and nobody can say no to AU. its really kind of getting pathetic. all his hires are his 1st choice, all the kids he signed picked au over everybody, and all the kids that dont pick au didnt have an offer.......blah blah blah, ok whatever. at least you are starting to see through the bs

Funny post Tiger, I agree and can't believe Phillip Marshall is straight up lying and saying he was the #1 choice all along. You would have to be a fool to believe that, he could've hired this guy months ago. Maybe he'll turn out ok, just not the splash I think most auburn fans were looking for.

Yeaaa, cause the fact that 7 time Pro Bowler...NFL MVP and QB who is about to play in his 4th super bowl. Tom Brady, still works with him in the off season just screams total loser. Dude has coached 4 current NFL QB's and has worked with 11 total.

    Lefty a true quarterback guru

Get a detailed look at new OC Scot Loeffler as a QB coach to Tom Brady and five other NFL vets, as a recruiter and as a person.

Awesome. He's obviously qualified to run offenses that'll need to compete in the SEC-W

Pretty underwhelming hire, and the fact that Auburn waited this long is just dumbfounding. Wait, wait, wait, while guys like Menelik Watson & Ricardo Louis jump off the ship.

A couple of good recruiting classes has not made FSU relevant again so..........opinion not valued..maybe in a couple more years. Nice try though.

  • The negative posts by none Auburn fans are a great sign that Leffty is a great hire. Think about it, why would someone that is not an Auburn fan want Auburn to get a great hire. If the guy is such a bad hire, the none Auburn fans should be super happy, and not saying Auburn needed someone better. The other thing, people do not hate on people at the bottom. They go after the ones on top. People do not talk about how much work the 150th ranked golfer's swing needs, just the players in the top 10.

    LOL...

Perhaps I could've used a different player flipping? TJ Yeldon maybe?

I don't blame you for being angry. I'd be pissed if my team waited weeks to hire a C Lister like Loeffler.

  • Educate yourself. It's embarrassing. TJ Yeldon was going to bama no matter who we hired or when.
