Mods please lock this thread and ban the OP. Talking about Indiana football? That dastardly program deserves the death penalty. Cheaters, the whole lot. I have dozens of shirts, mocking their footbal program. Last year I printed "Iuck Findiana" shirt and sold them on tRCMB before the big game, made a ton of dough. Can't stand their arrogant fan base. Forks down.

Look at it this way: If Kentucky experienced "down years" like Indiana did, do you think UK would get back?

The SEC and the B1G are completely different in basketball, IMO and Crean is not Cal. Good coach, but not a guy that's done it for 2 decades and coached in the NBA. He can't walk into any household in the country and leave the favorite.
The SEC isn't that far behind the B1G year to year in basketball, but there's not another consistant team to go up against UK like there is in the B1G. The closest thing would be UF and they were an NIT team recently.

Oh, I'm not saying Crean = Cal. I know Cal is better.
But I'm just saying. IU is a top 5 bball program (historically). I have no doubts they will get back to the glory days. Maybe not as good as they once were (because It's not likely that Crean can imitate B. Knights success), but they'll become a legit nat'l powerhouse year in and year out.

UM should be noticeably better inside this year. We were terrible last year at scoring points in the paint and rebounding, we had no big men last year. Mcgary should definitely help out with that. I'm thinking Elite 8 for UM when it's all said and done.

Lenzelle Smith - I liked what I saw out of him last year
Deshaun Thomas - Was great in the NCAA tourney last year. If he can keep it up he'll be great (I think he's your SF anyways..)

Thomas is supposed to be our star, and he's unreliable. He'll probably play the 4. I guess they just don't seem up to snuff compared to what we've seen last few years. Maybe a low ranked team this year, probably 5 seedish.
I think Thomas will play the 4.
