I usually have 3 trees but the house we downsized to only has room for one cry. I normally have a huge, traditional looking Santa tree topper on my red tree but the largest tree that will fit in this house is a 9 foot one......my Santa is 30". I had to improvise.

    That's awesome!!

I always have as well however I am seriously thinking about investing in a really good artificial tree next year from Frontgate. It takes me so long to put lights on my tree that it has become a big hassle and being able to just throw a tree up in a matter of minutes sounds so appealing.

I've thought about it too. Just can't bring myself to do it. Going to different tree lots with my gf and picking out a tree together is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays. We get it home, light a fire, turn on Christmas music and decorate it together. Love doing that type of stuff during the holidays. Part of the season.

Maybe that is what the problem is......the hubby, my daughter, and I all go pick out the tree and then I come home to put all the frickin lights on the tree. I am very picky about how the tree is decorated and the hubby just wants to throw it up. I end up spending hours decorating it while he watches TV. When I had three (two of them were 12'+) it took me a good week to get them lit and decorated. They look beautiful but are so much work.

  • I don't even have a small Christmas tree up. Figured I'm pretty much going to be working and won't get to visit most of my family so I decided not to put up anything.

haha we have a no TV rule until the tree is done. We decorate it together then we can watch TV.

Good rule that has worked so far. It's a tradition I'd like to keep going when i have kids. Easier said then done lol
