Grew up in northeast Arkansas, 40 miles from Memphis. The state of Arkansas has one school: Arkansas. It was a pretty easy decision. I still remember sitting in front of the tv when I was 6 years old watching the Hogs win the NCAA Title against Duke ('94).
I attended and graduated from the U of Arkansas in 2011. I love northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers). The rest of the state is just meh. I wouldn't wanna live in northeast Arkansas again. Nothing but farmland, mosquitos, and racism.

Pretty much. My great grandfather, grandfather, and my father used to farm rice and soybeans there in the Delta.
My grandfather had a full ride, basketball scholarship to Ole Miss in 1954. Oxford is just two hours from my their house (4 hours to Fay). He turned it down to farm since he was the youngest sibling. He figured he needed to stay and help his family. He was 6'2" and back then that was tall. He played post and averaged more than 30 points a game. I still have his high school info at my grandmother's house.
My dad farmed so no college for him. My mom went to Memphis Tech for some computer shit. I'm the first in my family to graduate from Arkansas. My sister is a sophomore there now.
