i'm a big fan of hickey freeman suits. $1200-1500 retail, but they almost always have them at neiman marcus last call for ~$600. try on several and go w/ the one that fits you through the shoulders and chest best. walk out the door and take it directly to a good tailor to fit the sleeves, waist and pants.

buy some pants hangars - the ones that clamp. hang your pants upside down by the cuff. you can use the same hangar for several pairs.

do not listen to this man if looking good in your suit actually counts. if you simply have to wear it just to wear it, then by all means go cheap.

I bought expensive suits at one time then realized the suit never got me anything but a credit card payment. You will not gain anything good by spending big bucks on a suit. FYI I wear suits to work everyday with a top 100 company.
