ITT we discuss the hypocrisy of Brady Hoke

  • Ducksworth said...

huh I have no idea what you're saying, but they lose their spot. That's why we've offered and recruited more OL. They can commit if they want to because we don't make up the "non-commitable offer" BS. Hunt or Lacy can commit and Dawson's out because he took a visit. If we offer James Crawford, then Conley will be out of his spot because he took a visit.

That's what the policy is and that's what it's always been.

Hey man, whatever floats your boat. If it helps you sleep at night. Give a 'wink wink' and a nod and everything will be okay.

His policy was that your offer was pulled if you visit... With Dawson getting his offer back there's essentially nothing left to discourage future commits from taking visits if they know their offer will still be on the table. They can just take their visit and recommit... The only thing holding them back is losing their spot? I don't think so, it's not like their going to fill up that fast. Sorry hoke looks desperate and knew he was going to lose two good commits due to his retarded policy. Spin it any way you guys want...

No, you're no longer considered a commit if you visit elsewhere. Dawson's offer was pulled because he wasn't upfront about visiting Florida. Just because you can't understand something doesn't make it untrue. lol

No that was not his policy. That's what you always say his policy is. It's ok, it's probably because of your super unbiased writers like Bax and Duane that you have this misunderstanding.

It's never been his policy to pull an offer if you visit. The only recruit who lost his scholarship offer was Pharaoh Brown who lied to the coaches, went to Oregon, and committed. The coaches wanted him to stay, he took a visit to Oregon, and then he committed to Oregon.

What ever made you think that his policy was to pull the offer? Because that was never true.

The policy has always been that if you visit somewhere else then you're not considered a commit and Michigan will recruit other players at your spot. You will still be recruited but you could lose your spot. I don't understand why that is difficult to grasp.

It is not hard to grasp. It is ghey.

If you're referencing this, then you're my favorite Buckeye poster.

If you're not, you're still cool. Just a little less cool than if you were referencing this.

Yes. Having a policy of pulling an offer if a kid visits would be ghey. Good thing Hoke doesn't do this! Hooray! He's just fat, not ghey and fat!

At least you understand it and don't like it. Some OSU posters don't understand it all apparently.

  • Does anyone have a direct quote from high-pitch about his "no-visits" policy, since nobody can agree on what it really is? Regardless, nobody can take any iteration of the policy seriously anymore. Well, that is to say if a recruit is highly rated enough.

Gareon Conley said himself that while he was his way to visit Cincinnati, he got word from Hoke that his offer would be pulled if visited. He then turned around and went home. I'm looking for the article now...

  • 1. Conley was considered a commit unless he made an official or unofficial visit to another school.
    2. Conley was considered a commit until the point he set foot on another school's campus.
    3. Conley was considered a commit since he didn't interact with the coaches or recruits and left early.

Like every policy, it evolves & is redefined as needed.

    4. When the policy failed to have consequences, Conley decommited and made a decision when Hoke did not.

The policy has always been that you lose your spot if you visit. Dawson (and Conley) lost their spot because we went after more recruits at their position. We can fill their spot and they would be left to inferior programs like OSU.

It's not Hoke's fault that Buckeye fans can't understand how that works shrug

It's fine if you want to defend Hoke for his actions. I'd probably do the same if I was a Mich fan. But seriously, where do you get off calling Ohio State an inferior program? OSU has beat UM in 10 of the last 12 years. Let me repeat - TEN OF THE LAST TWELVE YEARS! You make yourself look like an idiot. Inferior program? Puuuuhlease! Loser!

    killernutz96

  • LOL at the butt hurt in this thread.

Hoke won't "pull" his scholarship. If a commit, takes visits, the staff will consider them not a part of the class anymore. They will recruit other people to fill the spot. If the spots fills up, they won't be able to commit back. As long as it isn't filled by another recruit, they still can re-commit. That's the difference you simple minded people can't realize.

If a position is filled. They won't recruit anyone else at that position. Look at our OL recruiting up until now, Dawson is just another recruit at this point. If someone else takes his spot, he won't be able to commit, as the position will be filled. If he commits before someone else, they'll stop recruiting everyone else. Policy isn't a farce, it's still working as intended. Anyone trying to spin this, is trying to hard.

Yes, and they would still recruit Conley, as well as other CBs/WRs. He would turn into, just another recruit at the point.

The OL thing is sooo 4 months ago. We actually have an OL coach now.

Told you guys he was good. Not as good as our new OL coach, but he's a huge upgrade from your old coach.

Well it's not like they could do any worse than Bollman. He was the run game coordinator at BC this year. They were like dead last in rushing yards in the FBS this year.

Inferior program that's beat your ass 9 out of the last 10 years.
I hope Brady Hoke stays longer than RichRod.

  • For the record Hokes Policy isn't if you visit somewhere else you can't ever come to Michigan....it's if you visit somewhere else you are considered de-committed. They will then pursue other avenues but they may keep recruiting the young man. He has never stated if you visit Michigan will stop recruiting you all together.
