ITT we post 1 current Head Coach who stinks

  • bhiley77 said...

I don't consider him elite, but he's better then the names being thrown out ITT.

For instance, some say Les' success has a lot to do with the fact he's in a state full of talented athletes who are standing in line to commit to the school they grew up a fan of. Even if this is true, he's already light years ahead of Mack Brown, who is in the same situation but f'ing it up.

Mack Brown's last 3 years have been terrible and most Texas fans are looking for a change. But before you go saying that Les Miles (the idiot) is light years ahead of anyone, note that Texas' winning percentage over Mack Brown's tenure is light years ahead of both Alabama's and LSU's. Both school's had their messiah Saban during that time period. Credit Mack Brown for that.

16 losses in 3 years. Mike Shula's first 3 years at Bama produced 1 more loss than that. A loss in the bowl game and they are equal.

    Kirk Ferentz at Iowa

Doesn't he make around 4 million a year and they won 4 football games this year?

    Pathetic coach

Yeah, he also had the best 10 season stretch at Iowa. Way overpaid, now though. I questioned almost everything he did this entire season. I mean, losing to CMU at home because you can't recover an onside kick is bad enough, but having to recover an onside against CMU at home to win is awful.

Can we post current coordinators that stink? I nominate Greg Davis.

I'm not really a fan of Reid, but it's hard to call your team "more" when you're missing something like 10 starters on offense.

I'll give you this year sure. 8-8 last year with the same roster. Too many players underutilized and out of position. Coaching staff assembled giving positions to his friends and keeping them there ultimately did him in. I won't even start on the draft.

So you are saying that Mack Brown and Saban each suck about the same? Okay...

Norv has ruined every team he was the head coach of. I was amazed San Diego gave him another shot, and the Chargers have gotten worse every year he's been there. He was doing very well as the 49ers OC though. Should stick to what he's good at.

He sucks as a HC but he's a fantastic OC.

    Mack and Shula.

No excuse for where he has allowed things to get. Programs like Virginia Tech and Florida St allow coaches to hang around way too long. Texas should not. Mack is not the face of the program historically either as Bowden, Paterno, and Beamer. It shouldn't be that hard to cut ties.
