If Chip Kelly leaves for the pros

  • I'm really going to miss watching his Oregon teams. Say what you want about how Oregon struggles against teams with better front 7s, but Oregon was extremely fun to watch under Kelly.

Same offense will be employed. Entire staff will remain, we just need a new OC or WR coach if Frost is promoted to OC (likely).

It won't be Chips but I guarentee we still run a no huddle hurry up spread. Helfrich has been an OC in training all 4 years Chips been here, for this exact situation.

I'm not going all homer and saying there will be no drop off, but we will run the same O.

  • Stanford is about to go on a big run, I would not be surprised if they run the table next year

  • What makes any of you think that the OC that is going to get bumped up won't do the same thing? People forget that Chip Kelly was in the same position as the OC was under Belloti.

because CHIP was calling the plays as OC and as the Head Coach, the current OC does not

I would bet my pay check he is gone! I do agree though, I am not negative PAC 12 or Big 10 the way most of you guys try to make out all SEC guys. I love SEC ball and traditions but Oregon is fun to watch. I would not want that as my offense,
(not versatile enough, no real power game) but it is fun to watch!

    Oh great.

Now we have to see more threads from Devidee saying that the Browns are upping their offer to 18 million a year for Saban.

I've heard pretty good things about the guy. I don't know much about him other than he's SU's HC at this time.

Of course I would have never heard of Bill O'Brien if he wasn't the HC that took over PSU during their trouble's either. I have a buddy that is tapped into the NFL on the journalism side of things, and he told me that he is a hell of a coach. Actually I think two more teams have him slated for interviews as well. Why the Browns aren't going for Lovie Smith is crazy.

I been yelling for them to get Lovie from the start. I just think noone wants to come to Cleveland.

I don't think they have even considered him. I think Cleveland could get a damn good HC with Haslam as your owner. Dude will spend money and make it work. He's got the pedigree with his time at Pittsburgh.

Trent Richardson isn't a bad way to start either and your defense isn't bad at all either. Weeden showed some flashes. I don't think the Browns are far off with some good decision making.

Edit: They are also saying that the Bears are likely not going to resign Urlacher. You sign Lovie Smith and I promise that you could get Urlacher on a two year contract to follow him. You pair him with D'Qwell Jackson at LB, sign you some OL'men and a receiver or two and the Browns will be dangerous. They were in every game they played sans the Broncos game.

Yeah there seems to be some hope but, that always ends up getting crushed somehow as a Cleveland fan. Haslam has got to make this a good hire. Noone wanna play for a team that keeps getting new management every 3 years.

You posted after my edit on my previous post. I think Lovie would be a homerun hire for the Browns. Not to mention, outside of the Urlacher possibility that I posted, you have an owner that will spend money and Lovie has respect from players around the league. That makes FA's possible that wouldn't be possible with a guy like Chip Kelly.

I go to Cleveland two to three times a year on business. Cleveland really isn't that bad at all. There is some seriously good food in that city.

    Trust me,

Bama fans, and no disrespect to ND here, are happy that we are facing ND instead of UO in this title game. ND may make me eat my words, but I think Oregon is a far more dangerous team.

We can be pretty explosive at times, I really think you guys will win the NC over ND this year. Hopefully next year Bama and the ducks can meet up for the NC game. OOO what a game that would be.
