If Clowney Didn't Play a Snap This Year...

  • fsufsu said...

Compared him to a USC DE? Never happened, waste someone else's time. Mriderblue got the point, Clowney was viewed as "really really good" and then he gets a well time, overhyped highlight play and ESPN goes into HYPEMODE2013. It's ridiculous. Just like your responses.

    Lol.. You and mriderblue

Anyways, I'm out this thread.. You seriously don't have a clue

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

How is he getting too much hype? He is obviously the best player in college football now that Denard is out of eligibility.

He had mad hype before he played a snap of college.. His size and speed are scary, he's going to be one of the great ones.

Maybe I was a little hard on fsufsu but Clowney blows me away, kid is one of the most special players i've ever seen

Well aware of his greatness (I saw it first hand against Michigan), and well aware of his hype in HS. Just saying people started talking about Clowney a lot more after that hit.

Sure everyone on this board knew about Clowney ages ago, but a lot of common sports fans didn't know him until about that hit.

Clowney is a stud, and probably the best DE from my days following the draft. But I still don't think he ends up at #1.

A top flight QB is just infinitely more valuable than a DE.

Best player in CFB? Hell no.

Who's better? And he's definitely the best defensive player in football.

    Define better?

Johnny Football has more of an impact on a football game than Clowney.

Says the guy who's freaking out because I wont give him best prospect AND best player tags. Cool, see ya.

You still think I compared him to his teammate I bet grumble. Dude had great support and had 12.5 sacks. Best prospect in CFB hands down. Top 20 defensive player in CFB this past year.

What does Michigan have to do with anything I said? I am not butthurt, you are just too homer to realize what is being said.

Who would you rather have, Aaron Rodgers or JPP?

    Enough said.

Clowney is a stud DE, but a stud QB is more valuable. Check drafts if you don't believe me.

Whos the stud qb un next years class. Its only two players that have a chance at being number 1. That's clowney and the tackle from bama can't spell hid name. Even if a stud qb coming out some team would trade up to get jd or the bama tackle.

Lol. Just looked back at the last DE like this and the Texans took David Carr #1 over Peppers.

I feel bad for Carr. Nobody is going to succeed behind an offensive line that sets single-season sack records.

How does that mean he is a better player???

A QB usually always has more impact than a DE. It doesn't mean he's a better football player. At all.

The fact is Clowney is the best player in the country last year, this coming year, and the next if he stays (he won't). He's 275 lbs at 6'6" and runs sub 4.5s. Once in a lifetime player.

Large part of that was him too though. Check his stats back then. He had a high completion % because he wouldn't throw the ball.

I have no idea what to expect from Teddy in the pros, but if he has another solid year I guarantee you he goes top 10.

  • Y'all are pissing me off.. Some of you truly don't realize how special of a player Clowney is. He's the next Julius Peppers and might be better, yeah, I said it.

Some of you guys will be eating crow come draft time and when he's raping NFL QB's.. He's the most athletic player i've seen in a decade and you won't find a player with his skill set and athletic ability anywhere in CFB.

lol its amazing how little you know about QB's

There is no way in hell he goes higher than early 2nd round, just watch

His mechanics are pure garbage, one of the weirdest throwing motions I have ever seen... makes Vince Young's look like Joe Montana or Elway

Its funny how bad you are at spotting a troll post as well

Bridgewater does some things well..... in the Big East.... and he does plenty of things poorly, including staying healthy and at damn near the same size as RG3.... he is looking at many trips to the hospital during an NFL future

Solid year ? since when does that go top 10 ? especially from a Big East kid

He needs more than a solid year my friend, just ask Barkley..... even a solid year from Barkley and he falls to late 1st or worst

Its so damn funny to me how every year people put their faith into a QB who does very little

Logan Thomas and Matt Barkley last year and now Teddy Bridgewater

Also Im not sure who is aware, but Teddy blows in the pocket and escaping it too.... now he was hurt for much of last year ( see my comment in previous post about how the NFL will tear his ass up ) but Teddy sucks at running for some reason, despite being an athletic black kid from south florida... it literally makes no god damn sense except for one obvious explanation.... he is a huge pussy who doesn't like getting hit

Last year at FIU, a team that was 3-9

Teddy was 19/36 for 194 with 2TD to 2INT... he ran for an amazing 16 yards on 4 carries

His team won 28-21, clearly the NFL is drooling over guys like this confused
