If Clowney Didn't Play a Snap This Year...

  • Lesticals said...

Y'all are pissing me off.. Some of you truly don't realize how special of a player Clowney is. He's the next Julius Peppers and might be better, yeah, I said it.

Some of you guys will be eating crow come draft time and when he's raping NFL QB's.. He's the most athletic player i've seen in a decade and you won't find a player with his skill set and athletic ability anywhere in CFB.

All 6'6", 270 lb dudes can do this.

Last year at FIU, a team that was 3-9

Teddy was 19/36 for 194 with 2TD to 2INT... he ran for an amazing 16 yards on 4 carries

His team won 28-21, clearly the NFL is drooling over guys like this confused

Very convincing response, I now agree with you that Teddy will go top 10 confused

The NFL is dying for Big East Champion QB's who can't avoid the pass rush and have skinny body types

Solid year ? since when does that go top 10 ? especially from a Big East kid

He needs more than a solid year my friend, just ask Barkley..... even a solid year from Barkley and he falls to late 1st or worst

Its so damn funny to me how every year people put their faith into a QB who does very little

Logan Thomas and Matt Barkley last year and now Teddy Bridgewater

Also Im not sure who is aware, but Teddy blows in the pocket and escaping it too.... now he was hurt for much of last year ( see my comment in previous post about how the NFL will tear his ass up ) but Teddy sucks at running for some reason, despite being an athletic black kid from south florida... it literally makes no god damn sense except for one obvious explanation.... he is a huge pussy who doesn't like getting hit

He's going to need to take a step forward absolutely, but his performance against Florida put him in a good position to get drafted early.

Putting Logan Thomas in the same category as Bridgewater is laughable, guy sucks shit.

  • Lol at Bridgewater going in the first round.. Great College QB but it won't translate to the NFL. This thread is so full of fail, good lord

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

Ten bucks you didn't watch his performance against UF cause it was anything but that impressive

He hit some passes and won by 10 points, that doesn't get you into the first round and certainly not the first ten picks

2 months sig of choice after the draft depending on whether or not Bridgewater goes 1st round?

I didn't watch the whole game so that is a good call by you. But I did manage to watch him a decent amount this year and I think he's got a great chance to be picked high.

The fact that he plays in the Big East is going to be beneficial for his draft prospects. I don't know if he'll be good in the pros, but I think he gets drafted early.

Bridgewater will get drafted very early. His only competition for QB next draft is Manziel. After those 2 players you got McCarron, Boyd, and maybe Thomas.

Bridgewater and Manziel are easily looking at 1st round right now. McCarron and Boyd are looking at 1st - 2nd round right now.

Haha.....I expect a Michigan fan to be butt hurt

He's right. QB just has more of an impact because he touches the ball every play.

I think everyone knows that. Still doesn't change the fact that Clowney is the best player in college football

I agree with some of this, but if he shows up at the combine next year... measures a legit 6'5" or 6'6" and 270 while running 4.5's then god damn, that would make him one of the best DE prospects I have ever seen, if not the best

Add jumping close to 40 inch vertical. Clowney only needs to work on his conditioning so he can go close to 100 all-game.

Most dominant edge guy I've seen in college since Derrick Thomas in the late 1980s. I really think he's to DEs what Herschel and Bo were to RBs. Nasty athleticism.

Tell people what they want to hear, they will like you. Tell them the actual truth...they may not.

I'll take that bet. Kid is the #1 rated QB in his class by NFL Scouts.

You really should research more before posting.

He doesn't play 100 every play per your DC. Last sentence in attached article.

Well aware of his greatness (I saw it first hand against Michigan), and well aware of his hype in HS. Just saying people started talking about Clowney a lot more after that hit.

Sure everyone on this board knew about Clowney ages ago, but a lot of common sports fans didn't know him until about that hit.

Clowney is a stud, and probably the best DE from my days following the draft. But I still don't think he ends up at #1.

A top flight QB is just infinitely more valuable than a DE.

Not when the DE completely changes that QBs game. Ask Aaron Murray what its like to go 11-31 for 109 yards. Ask Tyler Bray what happens in the 4th quarter on potential game winning drives. Ask Tyler Wilson what its like to be held to 200 yards below your average, throw 1/4 of your interceptions, and be sacked the most all season in a single game. Ask Taj Boyd who ended his Heisman hopes.

The best in that game last year was Clown getting through and Wilson just dove to his right and skipped the ball across the LOS with nobody within 5 yards of him.
