    I think it was the '99 team that beat Mike Vick. Vick had never seen speed like that. DE's/lbs running hime down.

    We had a 250 pound DE on that team that ran a legit 4.4

    But tore his knee up in that game and never truly recovered

  • I think Derrick Brooks changed the defensive game in college, the 1st big safety that could play LB with speed and strength to burn. That guy was a beast. IMO

    If FSU had Bama's run game and clock management they would have likely been ranked #1 in everything last year

    Opposite of Oregon, IMO

    Oregon actually had a top 10-15 defense last season, but with their offense, they are just on the field too much.

    I really think that is the downfall of that system. When the offense isn't clicking they are in serious trouble. I'll never understand these coaches that just think outscoring the other team is the best option and never adapt.

    I know you hate Urban, but that is something that he atleast understands. He'll back off in games when the offense isn't there.

    If we had Barret Jones at center, Warmack at guard and Fluker for Erving we would've won it all. Them 3 with Watson and Matius would be just flat out nasty. Ej wouldn't have had to throw the ball. Wilder and Thompson would both rush for 1500 vs our schedule lol.

  • Pruitt was a DB coach at Bama, for how long? The guy has never been a D-Coor in College, and now you guys act like he the greatest thing since sliced bread. Can he recruit? You bet your ass he can, thats why Jimbo got him. Cause we all know it wasn't because he is this great coach. You guys have talent on Defense, but very little experience. Bunch of unproven guys, and your gunna be relying on quite a few freshman. Good luck with that

    Little experience, you mean like having every level of the defense with all kinds of starting experience ? not just playing time experience

  • Christian Jones is a 2 year starter at LB going into his final season

    Telvin Smith has played a lot in 3 years at LB

    Jernigan played a ton in 2 years, including plenty of starts at DT

    McAllister is a redshirt SR at DT with a handful of starts too

    Brooks, Joyner, Darby, and Waisome are all returning starters in the secondary

    Hunter played a ton last year off the bench

    Where is all this inexperience you speak of ?

    Who is unproven besides almost nobody ?

    I said FSU's would be right there with Bama all year and was deadly accurate in that prediction

    I have no doubts that FSU will be better this year, and will probably be right again fwiw

    I said all offseason and during the season that Bama was better last year, try again mane
