I'd be scared. Texas A&M just pounded OU...who pounded Texas. If Texas isn't careful Texas A&M is going to take over that state. If Mack goes 8-4 again next year I'd tell him to gtfo.

Texas A&M will own the state before the season or mid season next year. The wagons were already in motion and this is just speeding it up. If Texas had any balls they get rid of Mack Brown. This is similar to fsu and UF. We owned the state at the time and then Meyer came around while we held on to Bowden and the rest was history.

If I were UT, I would (a) move a bunch of my games to a network most of my fanbase can't get, (b) assign my TV rights to a lame-duck conference for 13 years so I have no way out and (c) give Mack Brown another raise and extension. Oh, sorry, they already did that. Nevermind.

Texas also just hired Larry porter. A guy their fans spent years telling us how he was the dirtiest recruiter in Texas. The guy they told us was working with street agents in Texas. Desperate times in Austin.

Texas will be fine, Mack is holding them back, but he'll be gone after next year if they don't win and then Texas will be back again. You don't change history in a few years. A&M will never overtake Texas

If the trend continues I agree with you but one year doesnt spark immediate change. Well still get our recruits and so will they. Are they the hottest team in the state right now? Hell yeah but does it mean theyll take every top recruit in the state? No it doesn't. It doesn't mean well get them either. Itll be more split evenly than it has been in years past.

Great post. Texas A&M has taken Texas by storm. It's over for Mack. The pendulum has swung to A&M. They will dominate all through Sumlin's tenure. Probably be the no. ranked team coming into next season. Playing for crystal trophies now.

I guess we found out why Texas was doing all they could to avoid the aTm matchup if OU would have made a BCS Bowl. Maybe that's why they lost to TCU.

I agree with this. aTm is hot and will probably go on a great run in recruiting Texas for a couple of years. Once Texas gets rid of Mack and brings some more stability to things though, they should see a good bounce back though, IMO.
